    For me the F-104 Starfighter is the most outstanding military aircraft. “The rocket with the man in it” - despite all the problems that occurred, mostly by incapable technicians and many pilots that did not respect the “Diva” and did not watch out for the limits of the characteristics, the F-104 was a fantastic aircraft that would bee treated with respect. The innovations in the F-104 was outstanding in the days of the 1950’s and 1960’s. The F-104 was designed by Kelly Johnson who was even the father of the SR-71 Blackbird and other well known aircraft.
