$319 million for an A380 VIP....

Alwaleed bin Talal topped the Forbes Arabia rich list last year, has invested a small piece of his estimated $20.3bn (£9.8bn) fortune in an Airbus "Flying Palace", which is priced out of most tycoons' range with a retail price of $319m.

Just in case you wonder what he looks like

He who laughs last obviously has'nt heard the bad news.

I must say, the Flying Palace sounds like a bit of a stupid name to me. i know he is a prince and all but to me it doesn't sound like a fast and efficient beast, more like a bit lumping thing. It sounds as unappealing as say a skoda...

Why doesn't he call it 'Speed Demon' or "Flying Eagle" or something

To be perfectly honest it sounds like the Prince is going through a mid life crisis, normally I think the bloke in question would buy a Porsche but since he's substantially richer that the average merchant banker (No, that's not meant to be rhyming slang) he's gone for the biggest toy out there.
