An amateur pilot flying over Germany drank so much alcohol before and during his flight, that he needed help finding the airport.
The 65-year-old reportedly drank wine and beer before he took off in his Cessna, then served himself cocktails while behind the controls, a story by the Telegraph said. After two hours, he was so drunk that he couldn't read the navigation instruments telling him where the Schoengleida airport was, and had to call the radio tower for help. "Come on, I know you're down there," he reportedly said. "Where the bloody hell have you hidden yourself?"
Control tower staff feared that the man's instruments failed, and called a rescue helicopter who guided him back to the airport, where he landed safely.
He who laughs last obviously has'nt heard the bad news.
