VISITORS
Air Transat A313 C-GTSW (483 ex CS-TEH) made its first visit early this morning. It certainly took its time as it was delivered to the airline in September last year. EasyJet A319 G-EZFH (3854) arrived shortly before lunchtime from Milan/Linate on its first visit to Gatwick. It then flew an Inverness rotation, followed by a departure to Budapest & may well now be based. Altarello Ltd's EMB135BJ G-WCCI was a newcomer mid afternoon & any of you who have failed to update your SBS database will have this recorded under its previous identity of G-REUB.
FLEET NEWS
British A/W. The reason for the airline's apparently strange decision to buy B733 G-LGTI (23925) & then break it up has come to light. It appears that the aircraft was damaged while being stripped of its BA scheme & it was cheaper for BA to buy it than to have it repaired.
Flybe EMB145 G-EMBM (145196) is due to go to Athens A/W.
Jet Time B733 OY-JTE (27834) was ferried from East Midlands to Eindhoven all white as JTG9001 for painting this morning. This was formerly with BMI Baby as G-OGBE. Hex code is 45AA85.
Ryanair B738 EI-EBX (35007) arrived, as expected, at Dublin on delivery today via a fuel stop at Keflavik. Hex code is 4CA73F. EI-EFC (35015) made its maiden flight today.
Thomas Cook A320 G-TCAC (1411) was due back at Manchester today, still as C-FRAA, following its winter sojourn with Skyservice.
Thomson A/W. Correcting yesterday's roundup, B752 G-CPEV (29943) routed back to Manchester via Belfast & not Bristol.
ROUTE NEWS
Air Transat began new seasonal services from Toronto & Fredericton via Halifax today. An additional Toronto flight also started yesterday.
Azerbaijan A/L may have given up its Wednesday service to Gatwick, as the flight hasn't run for the last 3 weeks.
