The rescue of Apollo 13's crew.  Here was the ultimate example of a team working together, utilising inspirational  initiatives on a seemingly impossible task, and where great courage and skill proved that teamwork can achieve miracles.

I totally agree. Teamwork under such a stress and uncertainty on what was happening was admirable and, to a large extent, unique. I believe some credit should also be given to designers who decided to build into the system a seemingly unlikely backup capability (in propulsion and life support systems), at the price of a small amount of weight.
