    The Spruce Goose

It is a dream that did not totaly materialise since the first and only flight was desapointing. But it was a fantastic premonition of where the aviation industry was heading. It pave the way to the Boeing 747, Galaxy C-5 and the Airbus 380. What will be the next step?

    Re: The Spruce Goose

That's an interesting choice Daniel, particularly since the Hercules never really had a chance to prove its self in service and was limited to that brief test flight. I understand your point of view, in that it showed that truly large aircraft could be built but wouldn't one of those other large aircraft that followed it (And proved themselves operationally) be a better choice?
