Inflatable Lifeboat with Seagull.

With the Sovereign Light Tower in the distance, the inshore Lifeboat joins the rescue. All through the three hour exercise a solitary Seagull flies around the Chinook. It became very cold and WET in the Channel off of Sunny Eastbourne in Sussex. The exercise involved RAF personnel being winched from the Lifeboat into the helicopter. Lifeboat coxswain Mark Sawyer said it was an exciting exercise.
