 Hi,

In making AirSpace easier to use we are soon planning to make some adjustments to the photos page and also the method of uploading photos.

In terms of the photos page, we are hoping to change the photos page into a series of boxes which highlight the latest pictures, the highest rated pictures, the most commented on pictures etc.

In terms of uploading, we want to make it more like uploading to say Flickr, making it easier for you to upload multiple pictures at once and allow you to post them into mulitple galleries.

What would be useful is any comments/ suggestions from you guys about how you would like to improve things. Either comment on this blog or feel free to email me.

You must have read my mind :-)

Totally agree about re-vamping the main photo page. If were continuing with each member having their latest uploads highlighted then it would be a good idea to show the latest uploads and not their "latest" images by exif data as happens now, it would certainly refresh those images displayed.

Like the idea of being able to have one image in multiple galleries, certainly saves time uploading them repetitively.

I don't think at the moment you can link to the images from other forums (I never use others only here, honest!) would that be possible in the future? I know it uses bandwidth so how about an AirSpace footer added to the image to encourage viewers of linked images to visit AirSpace?

Hi apgphoto,

You are able to sort images in either post order or date taken via the Manage Albums option in your Gallery. Go to Settings and then select 'Change how my Gallery looks' and choose Date (Descending), as opposed to Picture Date (Descending) which sounds like what you have (default).  Hope this helps.

BI,

Yup I have played around with the various options and they do indeed change how the main gallery looks but it doesn't effect the 5 images displayed on the main photo page. I'm stuck with some dull shots at Bristol as my 5 image intro (Bristol isn't dull btw) as these were my in real time last images shot and uploaded.

Another idea Mr Mav, how about galleries within the main user gallery? I know thats the idea of the keywords for easy reference but how about individual galleries as an example airshow, airliners, military and so on all contained with in the one user gallery?

Hi APG,

Thanks for all the ideas, we are currently reviewing the process (with your thoughts in mind) and hope to have a change pretty soon, firstly in how the photos page looks and then from there the way you upload the images to allow you to add to multiple galleries etc...
