AirSpace Announcement: Get your photo into Flight International magazine

I have some exciting news everyone. I have been speaking to Flightglobal’s Online Editor Michael Targett, who has informed me that from next week, Flight International magazine will pick an image a week from AirSpace and feature it in the magazine!!! NOT ONLY THAT, but amazingly one image from AirSpace will be used on THE FRONT COVER OF FLIGHT INTERNATIONAL

(more details on this to followWink!!)

So it’s time to get your camera out and get those pictures onto AirSpace. Remember, we are looking for pictures that captures the imagination, sums up the week that was, or represents a historical event or anniversary. Everything is open and the judges’ vote is final, so get posting!!

The payment's the prestige of having your image on the front of the World's leading global aviation magazine, "Flight International".

yeah - i think it's more of a case of hightlighting some great amateur photographer rather than cheap images for the magazine.

    Hi Geoff,

For the weekly prize, the photo will be picked by a member of the flight team. I will then put it on thread on AirSpace with an explanation of why that picture was picked and what qualities of the picture shone through.

As for the Front Cover competition, more details are to follow shortly, we were just so excited about it that we thought we should let you know straight away. The categories are being formalised and i will let you know the details as soon as i know.

Hi Geoff, Hopefully this will solve your photo problems. If you go to the photo section at top of main menu. At the bottom of the page you'll see all galleries. Open this up and your and look for your gallery each member when they join gets their own gallery. Go into your gallery and at the bottom right there should be a common tasks box. Click on 'add picture'. On the 'publish new photo' screen that opens click 'upload', to the right of the top line. In the box that opens up, select 'browse' and select which photo you want to add and click 'upload'. There is also a line there for subject heading, this is any text that you want to appear when your cursor hovers the thumbnail. This takes around a minute, depending on speed of your computer system. Back in the publish new photo screen you can also add keyword tags and a narrative description of the photo if you want. Then all you need to do is click 'save' bottom right and this hopefully will add the picture to your gallery.

We will select the photos for the competition from the members galleries

    Hope this helps...Goose

    Hi Gus,

Your photo file size cannot exceed 4mb, but apart from that, the package should handle everything else.

     Hope that helps,

     Maverick
