FARNBOROUGH 2008: Taking the JSF triple tube route!

Cleveland-based aerospace manufacturer Eaton Corporation and Finmeccanica subsidiary Alenia Aeronautica announced at Farnborough that they have signed a workshare agreement. Alenia is already under contract to produce half of the wing sections for the CTOL JSF. Under the terms of the agreement the two companies will co-operate in the design, development and production of the tubes through which hydraulic, fuel and power thermal management system lines run in the wings of the basic CTOL version of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The new agreement will see Eaton supplying 85% of the tubing, with Alenia responsible for the remainder.
