CLUB 328 WOUND UP

UK charter company Club 328 was wound up in July by a county court and the UK government-run Insolvency Service has been appointed as official receiver. Biggin Hill-based Club 328 was acquired late last year by UK businessman Paul Crowther, owner of aircraft broker Plane Chartering. The company was forced to enter compulsory liquidation due to a lack of funding. The UK Civil Aviation Authority has revoked the company's aircraft operator's certificate.

BEIJING FBO

Jet Aviation opened its new fixed-base operation at Beijing Capital International airport last week, just in time for the opening ceremony of the 2008 Olympic Games in the Chinese capital. During the event, the FBO - which is also operated by joint venture partners Deer Air, Reach Investment and Capital Airport Holdings - will provide passenger handling, in-house customs, immigration and quarantine services for crew and operations personnel.
