The Betts Team is retained to recruit for the Business Aviation division of CAE, one of the world’s leading providers of simulation and integrated training services.
Founded in 1947, CAE has manufacturing operations and training facilities in 19 countries on five continents. They are at the forefront of the provision of civil full-flight simulators, with more than 500 simulators and flight training devices sold to more than 100 airlines, aircraft manufacturers and training centres.
CAE Inc has 35 business jet simulators worldwide and their Burgess Hill (UK) site will become the largest European Training Centre. Their other Business Aviation sites are in Morristown NJ, Dallas TX and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). CAE’s UK based Business Aviation Training Centre was established 5 years ago.
The Burgess Hill (BH) site has recently completed the construction of 8 new simulator bays and offers the very best in classroom and training facilities, within a modern and very friendly Team environment.

The Position
To assist the Fleet Training Manager with standardization, co-ordination and delivery of updates to the simulator, VSIM, IPT and courseware.

Key Responsibilities
Co-ordination of Fleet Standardization Programme throughout the CAE network in accordance with directions given by the Fleet Training Manager.
To conduct periodic instructor quality assurance checks.
To be the point of contact for Fleet type.
Co-ordinating the change process for FFS, VSIM, IPT and Courseware.
Chairing monthly Standardization meetings, with Lead Instructors worldwide.
To provide all Instructors with periodic standardization notes.
Instructional duties on one of the Fleet types.
Such other duties as may be assigned by the Fleet Training Manager.
Some domestic and overseas travel may be required.

Who Will They Hire
You must have the right to live and work within the EU. Preference will be given to UK passport holders.
You should hold or have held a professional pilot Licence, with previous experience as an Instructor.
Working knowledge of JAR and preferably also FAA Regulations
Excellent interpersonal skills
Above average communication skills, both verbal & written
Computer skills & knowledge of Internet applications.
The ability to adapt and innovate may be required.
Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction.
Ability to concentrate and work in a fast paced environment.
Readily accept changes and adjust accordingly.
Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances.
Scope to deal with some complex problems unsupervised.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Some decisions/advice may need to be made at short notice without prior referral to supervisor to rectify on-the-spot client or internal issues.
A willingness to work flexible hours including public holidays and weekends.
