AddMaintenance Electrician

A vacancy has risen in the Facilities Department for a Maintenance Electrician.

Essential Requirements are:

• The successful applicant will have completed a recognised apprenticeship or adult training.
• Demonstrable experience as an Electrician in the equipment or buildings maintenance field.
• The ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience of operating in a continuous improvement environment.
• Knowledge and experience of mechanical maintenance would be a distinct advantage.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Ensuring planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are carried out in line with task schedules.
• The installation of plant and machinery.
• Ensuring maintenance records are kept on a computerised system for site activities.
• Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing and associated repairs on small equipment.
• Operation of and working from Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP).

On occasions may be required to assist with:

• Operation and maintenance of the Low Voltage and High Voltage distribution network.
• Inspection and maintenance of the airfield lighting system.

The candidate will be required to participate in a call-out roster.

A full driving licence is required.
