Flight to Paris – what’s it all about?
Flightglobal is riding shotgun on FLIR System’s PC-12 as it crosses the Atlantic en route to Le Bourget in advance of the Paris Air Show.
FLIR’s PC-12 carries with it the FLIR Star Safire 380HD capable of advanced image capture in full spectrum hi-def and infrared.
This is technology through which Flightglobal will film and broadcast live footage of the Paris Air Show flying displays.
The flight – starting in Manassas, VA - will take in the sights on its route across the North Atlantic, including New York, Boston, Goose Bay, Greenland and the infamous Eyjafjallajökull Volcano in Iceland before landing in Le Bourget, Paris.
Flightglobal’s Michael Targett will be documenting the flight and sights with video and social media as we crank up the anticipation for this year’s biggest aerospace event.
