Ryanair expands Alicante base
Ryanair announced yesterday that it was implementing a major expansion of its Alicante base from March next. An additional three aircraft will bring base strength to 9 frames in total and add seven new routes to bring the total to 56 routes served. Three million passengers per annum will now be carried on over 500 weekly flights to and from Alicante.
The seven new routes will operate as follows :
- Altenburg from March 31 twice per week
- Krakow from March 30 three times per week
- Seville from March 31 four times per week
- Vaxjo from April 1 twice per week
- Vasteras from April 2 twice per week
- Valladolid from April 1 three times per week
- Treviso from April 1 three times per week
Frequency will be increased on routes to Billund, Charleroi, Bremen, East Midlands, Prestwick, Gothenburg, Haugesund, Pisa and Skavsta
