C-17A 03-3116 diverts to Shannon due medical emergency
Although Shannon sees its fair share of medical diversions each year, these tend to be almost exclisively with civil airliners. This evening however the airport received a visit from USAF C-17A serial 03-3116 operating flight RCH 225 due to an onboard medical emergency. The aircraft was routing Spangdahlem to Andrews when the crew elected to divert. The aircraft landed at 17.30. This was the second USAF diversion of the day following this morning's diversion from KC-135R 59-1508.
