Palmair are operating an IT series from Cork to Faro this summer. On Wednesday last, May 13 the service was operated by Boeing 737-5H6 registered G-PJPJ. The aircraft is familiar to many as the former British Airways machine G-GFFJ, msn 27355 and is owned by Astreus but operated in Palmair colours.

Irish airspace reopened at 21:00 hrs local

The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) announced this evening that in conjunction with the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Irish and UK airspace would reopen on a phased basis. Unite claim 20 BA aircraft parked at Shannon as cabin crew strike begins

Elements in the British media are reporting claims by an official of Unite that as of noon today, British Airways had parked 20 aircraft at Cardiff and 20 at Shannon to ride out the cabin crew strike which began today. As of 5.00 pm this evening no British Airways aircraft had landed at Shannon.

London area airports - Ireland traffic figures for November

The UK CAA has published traffic figures for November 2009.The trend established in September does appear to have carried through to November whereby the key LHR routes have shown signs of recovery, albeit at the expense fo LGW routes.
