Ryanair hit by fine in ENAC tit for tat

Ryanair today condemned what it says are “politically motivated actions” by Italy’s Civil Aviation Authority, ENAC which led to the carrier being fined €3m for 178 violations of the EU261 regulation between Saturday 17 th April and Thursday 22 nd April. Ryanair resolves Italian ID issue - restores flights

Ryanair announced today that it had reached agreement with the Italian civil aviation authority, ENAC regarding the production of passenger ID at check in. On December 24 last, the carrier had announced that it would be suspending all Italian domestic flights as of January 23 2010 as a result of an Ordinanza by ENAC. Ryanair to cease Italian domestic operations from January

Ryanair yesterday gave one month's notice of its intention to temporarily stop domestic operations from its ten Italian bases as of January 23 next. The move comes as a result of the lifting of injunctions Ryanair had obtained against ENAC the Italian Aviation Authority which required Ryanair to accept what it terms "unsecure forms of ID" for domestic...
