The last time that the Eyjafjallajökull volcano erupted in Iceland the spectacle lasted for over a year from December 1821 to January 1823. Dublin had a visit today from newly (Hungarian) registered B737-86Q HA-LKE. The aircraft is msn 30278 and was built in 2001 when it was delivered to Travel Service in the Czech Republic as OK-TVC. Whilst the Easter Bank Holiday provided typical BH weather in the west of the country ( rain ! ) the east coast faired somewhat better with regards to precipitation. Winds however were gusting to 45 knots throughout the afternoon and provided a pictorial diversion for the Dublin based photographers as can be seen in Michael Kelly’s pictures of Aer Lingus...

Fridays will never be the same again when the current tranche of Ryanair deliveries comes to an end. Today the latest brace EI-EKR and EI-EKS arrived in Dublin from Seattle.
