DAA to introduce incentive scheme in attempt to reverse falling numbers

The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) is to introduce heavily discounted passenger charges in an attempt to reverse last year's 13% drop in traffic at Dublin. The DAA has used discounting for new routes as an incentive in the past. IAA "to consider" CAR's price cap on terminal charges

CAR issues passenger pricing cap for Dublin Airport

The Commission for Aviation Regualtion yesterday published its final determination on passenger charges at Dublin Airport for the period 2010-2014. The charges become effective in January 2010. The Minister for Tranpsort, Noel Dempsey has written to the Aviation Regulator Cathal Guiomard, directing that the passenger handling fee for Dublin Airport be set in such a manner as will allow the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) recoup the capital investment program which includes the construction of T2.
