Dublin Airport had one of its first visits by a Hawker Horizon this week when A6-SHH arrived from the Dubai Air Show via Bucharest. SR Technics to open Malta facility

Just months after SR Technics announced that it was shutting its Dublin Airport facility with the loss of 1,135 jobs the company has announced that it is to set up a facility on the island of Malta. Iberia's Airbus A320-214 registered EC-HDN visited Dublin today in One World colours. The aircraft, msn 1087 and built in 1999 is one of a batch of Iberia aircraft not to undergo re-registration during its lifetime with the airline. Ryanair has called for the closure of the Commission for Aviation Regulation's office following the recent direction by the Department of Tranpsort to the CAR to raise passenger charges at Dublin Airport next year to pay for T2. Comlux Malta's Global Express registered 9H-AFP was an unusual visitor to Dublin yesterday, November 14. The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has published the traffic statistics for October which see no short term change on the horizon for the current depressed state of play in the airline industry. The UK CAA has published traffic figures for September 2009. Dublin-London Dublin's Gatwick traffic which is split between Ryanair and Aer Lingus showed a 6% YoY growth at 90,203.
