Hello and Welcome!
Hello and Welcome to the Jet City Report!
For my first post, allow me to introduce myself - I'm Andrew Sieber, an airplane spotter in Seattle, Washington, one of the worlds Xanadu's of aviation. I started spotting around three years ago and ever since it has become a lovely, rewarding, and obsessive hobby of mine. Other than the Boeing commercial airplanes which dominate much of my spotting, I enjoy general aviation as well, with the Dassault Falcon 7X, but more importantly, the de Havilland Beaver, being favourites of mine to photograph.
Now allow me to tell you what this blog will be about. I have the privilege to live within close proximity to Renton Municipal Airport and Boeing Field, where Boeing 737NG's are assembled and readied for delivery. I track and try to photograph each airplane that comes off the 737NG line in Renton, as well as try my best to at least track down information on the heavies (747, 767, 777, 787's) at Paine Field, 56 km (35 mi) to the North. On a weekly basis, I will post what Boeing planes performed their B1, or first flights, and what planes have flown off on their delivery flights. Ill try my best to include all information I can, such as line and serial numbers, as well as registrations and any other noteworthy items.
Posted below is a gateway photo, for which I hope you enjoy so much that you come back begging for more!
