First there was the joy and acclaim at finally opening Terminal Five, a place where BA could at last be a shining beacon of technological efficiency and comfort, followed by despair as the baggage crisis went to Terminal proportions (sorry, i've wanted to get that little joke in all week).

To capitalise on this crisis, some clever fellow has created this very addictive game (ala Donkey Kong for all you gaming purists outhere) where you play Willie Walsh to single-handedly save the day and recover as much baggage as you can.

You need to collect the baggage, scan it ,and then put the baggage on the conveyor belt, while missing the trolleys of doom (who are probably controlled by an angry family of four from Liverpool).

Enjoy:

http://www.weewilliewalsh.co.uk/

It is a full motion flight simulator that you sit in to control . What i like is the idea that you can move with the joystick so to make the flight more realistic, taking away the old-school feeling where you just moved the joystick around and hoped for the best. Apparently you can fly an aircraft in any weather conditions.

I am not sure if it is quite worth 3000 dollars but hey, maybe i should just take up flying lessons instead

Flight's Take-off Challenge

It seems like the gang at Flight have decided to bring out a Christmas game that is short on graphics but surprisingly addictive.

Like the old Track and Field game that basically involved hitting the keyboard as fast as you can, this game involves a similar ability to gain speed by hitting the direction keys and then the space bar to gain the right angle. I cannot seem to get beyond 6000 (with the A380) so i cannot believe that anyone has reached 68,000 miles like it says on the leader board but still for a five minute session it is okay...

You basically control the helicopter as it spins around and the aim of the game is to pick up certain objects (for example an Astronaut) and place them onto the shiip. Why one of the objects is an astronaut is beyond me .

You have to download the game onto your desktop but if you are a fan of seventies Mattel toys then give it a go...

Dash & Crash

A big thanks to Goose for this one, i have been playing it all morning and as yet have been unable to land the Dash-8 without one of wheels falling off!!

Very simply, the idea is to land the Dash-8 on the runway, using the direction keys and A for up and Z for down. The idea is to centre the plane in the yellow shape on the right before gradually lowering the plane onto the tarmac. Take too long and you over shoot the runway; come in too steep and you take the nose off.

It is Danish so it can take a little to negotiate around, just make sure you hit the yellow tabs and you should be fine!

Microsoft Paper Air Plane challenge

For this one i have to thank Flight Global as i first saw it there. The Paper Airplane challenge game from Microsoft is just fantastic fun, as you just press your mouse on the paper plane and easy as you like try and fling it across the office and out of the window, where it can go a very long way. For ages i couldn't even get it out of the window so my tip is to fling it as hard and as low as you can (without hitting any furniture) because once it is free from the first room it can go a distance. You can also create a league if anybody is interested.

My current best is about 80m but i think that is pretty rubbish really compared to how far you can throw it.

Enjoy anyway

Gamesmaster comes to AirSpace

I was quite surprised when i came to AirSpace and saw a new blogs section, and was pretty unsure about what i could write about. As a guy who likes to play the odd game or two, i thought i would share some coffee break games that i like to play in my lunch hour when the boss isn't looking.

This first one i like because if nothing else it shows how crap i am at geography. It is a Virtual Pilot game, where you have three rounds to direct flights to different locations in Europe. It gets gradually harder as the amount of information given diminishes with every round, as does the time given for you to make the decision.

My best score is currently 22,748, which i don't think is too shabby at all. Maybe if people are interested, we can create a league table of scores; but for now just leave them underneath, with any games suggestions as i am always up for not doing work!!
