These photos were generously shared with FlightBlogger after they first appeared this morning at the IAG blog. The first flight of the Bombardier CRJ1000 Next Generation is scheduled for this summer with an entry in to service planned for the fourth quarter of 2009. The photo was taken at the Bombardier CRJ factory at Mirabel Airport in Montreal.

The 100 seat regional jet is expected to boast a range of 1,691 nautical miles (3,139 kilometres). According to Bombardier, the CRJ1000 will substantially lower fuel consumption and is expected to achieve a 30 percent reduction in CO2 emissions over older generation aircraft of a similar capacity.
