CRJ900s on Bologna-Copenhagen by Oct 25 2009

Scandinavian flag carrier SAS will introduce on sundays 90 seater Bombardier CRJ900s on Bologna-Copenhagen. The route is proposed with winter timetable 2009/10 six times a week, f which five with 50 seater CRJ200s operated by partner airline Cimber Air and once a week with stretched CRJ900s.

Italiatour Airlines thrice weekly again on Brescia-Crotone

Abandoned the route Brescia-Rome FCO, by Sept 7 2009 Italiatour Airlines continues to go with Brescia Crotone non stop onn three times a week basis. Flights are available on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays with 98 seater Avro RJ85s. Tickets can be bought at 49€ one way plus taxes.

Egyptair increase to Catania on S10
Egyptair is to develop Catania in summer season 2010. One more weekly flight (1 to 2xweek) on Catania-Cairo operated on friday in additon to the saturday rotation. Confirmed are services to Luxor (monday) and Sharm el Sheikh (sunday) both operated by EMB170s.
Italiatourairlines will stop Brescia-Rome by Sept. 7 2009

In the history of this route the common fact is the fail to run with profit the flights. By Sept 7 2009 there are no flights scheduled from Brescia to Rome Fiumicino. Italiatourairlines is the last carrier to cease flights. About 10 airlines in the last 10 years, enclosed moneymaker Ryanair, have stopped the flight after to have not found anyway to get profits.

Baboo remove new proposed route Bologna-Geneva from booking engine

Currently a clear script "not available" is present when peoples tempts to book flights from Bologna to Geneva. Dreams to fly to Switzerland are disappeared like a new flight toward this important European gateway. Route Bologna-Geneve open for sale by last June 2009 is at this time considered dropped. Ryanair continue to look east. Wroclaw and Bratislava new destinations from Rome

Two new destinations in Eastern Europe expands the availability of connections from Ryanair base in Rome Ciampino. Today Giulia Gambacciani, sales and marketing executive in Italy have announced the new opening of non stop flights from Rome to Wroclaw by Oct 27 2009 and Bratislava by Nov 3 2009, both thrice a week.

Belle Air lands at Turin

Budget carrier Belle Air of Albania will open new direct flights from Tirana to Turin. They're twice a weekn on tuesdays and saturdays by Oct 27 2009. Booking are already available at www.belleair.it

Jet2 launch Manchester-Venice by summer 2010

New 7th B737s jet based in Manchester will be useful to launch new services to Venice by March 3rd 2010. Four flight a week is the proposed schedule on tuesdays, fridays, saturdays, sundays and fares starts from 29,99£ one way including taxes.

Ryanair push back routes from Manchester. Bergamo and Cagliari off from Oct 1

In the batch of routes today announced as dropped by Ryanair from Manchester, two of them involves Italian gateways. By Oct 1 2009 will disappear Bergamo and Cagliari from network of suitable routes in the departure from 2nd major gateway of UK.

Bergamo is granted every day and Cagliari is twice a week.  Ryanair spokesman Stephen McNamara reports about Manchester refused to lower its charges. Routes will be closed/switched to closest airports such as East Midlands, Leeds/Bradforf and Liverpool.

SACBO impounds three MyAir planes

Italian press yesterday reports that In the last days Bergamo airport managing company SACBO had ask to the civil court of Bergamo to impound three planes in operations with MyAir and in the hands of a lessor company. Handling fees not paid in an amount of 1 million € have forced SACBO to ask this action in order to defend his rights up to MyAir and in this case to the lessor. In fact in 1976 a specific law was issued in order to grant the creditors of debts matured by subjects where in this case planes are in property of a lessor. The lessor must respond in full of debts matured by the subject that use his planes. In this case the three planes involved are CRJ900s now in parking at Venice airport.

Slovakian regional carrier Danube Wings will open its 2nd gateway in Italy with new route Kosice-Bergamo operated three times a week by Oct 25 2009 on tuesdays, thursdays and sundays with 70 seater ATR72s.

Danube Wings is expanding in Italy after the recent openings of Bologna-Bratislava, Bologna-Poprad and than Bologna-Crotone.

 

Mistral Air ends with Whisperjet BAe146s

Too much costy and not profitable, Mistral Air have recently phased out the pair of BAe146/200QTs in fleet from a long time. Ceased the contract with TNT, they has returned I-TNTC and I-MSAA and now they are in storage in Norwich, UK. New company policy is to go with cargo and mail again but with profiit. BAe146s wan't considered money makers in the last times. Mistral Air now owned by Poste Italia, the Italian Post service is on the way to have further planes in fleet.

Blue Air/Flyonair drops Bucarest-Pisa
Romanian budget airline Blue Air today operates its latest rotation on Bucuresti-Pisa chartered on behalf for Flyonair of Pescara. Planned to be thrice weekly it has suffered the lack of demand. Punctually reduced now is arrived the end of this route.
Danube Wings is happy to see Ryanair in competition

Alitalia supports MTV Day in Genoa

Alitalia is together with MTV during rock concert in Genoa for celebrating the music channel birthday on Sept 12 2009. Two ad hoc flights are scheduled on Sept 11 & 13 2009 and 10 round trip tickets are in competition for this concert. During flights MTV cameramen will film on the ground and in-flight in the most significant moments. These images will be showed also during the concert.
