Blu Express ask slots on Milan Linate-Rome Fiumicino

"Milan Linate is our target and we have submit the application for obtaining slots" - Blu Express.com marketing manager George Michalopoulos said. Its one of the routes that complete the network of this budget carrier with key point at Rome Fiumicino. Today Blu Express.com, a commercial brand of Blue Panorama links 5 destinations to Rome and further three are in code share with Meridiana flights.

Milan-Miami soon with Alitalia. Cheaper fligths with 50€ by AirOne. The new investments at Milan Malpensa

Yesterday, Rocco Sabelli CEO of Alitalia, have cleared the picture about Alitalia and AirOne in the role at Milan Malpensa in the coming future. Competition to Easy Jet and Lufthansa Italia with AirOne branded fligths at 50€ one way. Alitalia soon will open the route Milan Malpensa-Miami.

Rocco Sabelli about the new business model for Air One he has declared "But this does not mean that we will become a low cost , we do not have the mentality, we do not have the structure. It's just that people are willing to go to Malpensa if you pay 50 euros for a ticket, but did not pay 80. It is a fact of the market. For this reason we offer price to 49 euros"

One of the questions placed to Rocco Sabelli is about the role of Malpensa. The journalist ask if they abandons Malpensa. He told "No, indeed soon we will inaugurate another intercontinental routes, to Miami"

About financial position and the capability to support the new investments Rocco Sabelli have declared " There is an indicator for the international airlines', its the cost per seat per kilometer. Danube Wings looks to go to Reggio Calabria

In an interview agreed to FlyBolognAirport BLog Danube Wings commercial manager Arpad Agosc consider to open soon services on Bologna-Reggio Calabria route. It will be her second domestic service inside Italy and the second to Calabria region. Currently the route have not airlines in business. Yet is not know how many flight they'll plans to fly. High potentials are present but Reggio Calabria is not well preferred due to it has limitations and certifications to the pilots are required.

Rumors reports also about the possible addition in fleet of a 4th ATR72s. Its unknown the type of series but talks are in progress.

Air Italy launch new long haul charter flights from Verona

Havana, La Romana, Punta Cana, Cancun, Zanzibar, Mombasa, Mauritius are the seven long haul destinations available with Air Italy from Verona with effect December 2009 until the spring 2010. Verona si back on the scene of the leisure flights thanks to the partnership established with Air Italy.

Fortaleza, Maceio, Male & Nosy Be are available with connecting flights to Rome, through check-in can be made in Verona for these flights.

In the medium haul Air Italy have services to Latakia in Syria, Cairo, Moscow, Erevan, St.Petersburg, Sharm el Sheikh and Marsa Alam.

AirOne planes and crews moved to Alitalia

 The new step of integration is planned by November 2009 when 30 AirOne jets will go under the Alitalia AOC. 2000 employees will be moved from AirOne to Alitalia. Alitalia - Compagnia Aerea Italiana had wrote the document to the trade unions that explain the reasons of this moving. Its planned the merging of EAS (handling services) into AirOne. B737s in service with AirOne will continue to stay with. AirOne is planned to be assigned to low cost flights only.

Alitalia increase load factors

According to AEA, Alitalia have reported the average load factor in August was 76.8%. In July was 72.7% and in August she has lifted 2.1 million passengers. In the first 8 months the averaged load factor is 63.4% and 14,03 million passengers carried.


Rossyia increase to Italy in 2010

The positive results had with sales increased by 30% on the 2008, the Ruassian airline will increase flights to Italy in 2010 adn serve Catania, Rimini and Venice from St.Petersburg. Code share with Alitalia will be available on these routes.

New ATR72/500s to Air Dolomiti
Former Contactair ATR72/500s D-ANFG now is in service with Air Dolomiti as I-ADCA. Delivered to Verona in the first days of October, now is at Montpellier for cabin conversion. Its the 9th plane of this type and Air Dolomiti now aligns 20 airliners, 15 of them are props and five are jet powered planes.

Aeroservizi had already operate this plane in summer season 2009 where 1300 flying hours was operated, 80000 passengers carried with a turn around for 9 million €. This plane had meet the full satisfaction of the contractors.

Lufthansa cut flights on Munich-Turin

Winter timetable 2009/10 will see the reduction of flights scheduled on Munich-Turin route. Four flights a day are available on that route instead of usual 6.

 

 

Seagle Air open base at Lamezia Terme

Its on the way to be open new services granted by Seagle Air from Lamezia Terme. Domestic and international flights are planned to be commenced effectively by Oct 20 2009. The airline is represented by Axiria of Bari. Pisa, Bologna, Rome, Milan, Bologna and Venice are the Italian gateways with flights from Lamezia Terme. Barcelona, Casablanca, Dusseldorf, Bratislava are the routes served from Lamezia Terme.

Alitalia launch new routes from Turin

Four new internationational routes operated by Alitalia are available from Turin to Amsterdam, Berlin TXL, Istanbul, Moscow SVO with effect Dec. 16 2009. These routes have different days of operation and frequency. Amsterdam is scheduled five times a week from monday to friday in early morning. Berlin, Istanbul, Moscow are both three times a week. These flights are operated with A319s.

Garuda is back to Rome in 2011?

Rome should probably see Garuda by 2011. In the past days the airline CEO have released the new development plans for next two years. Garuda Indonesian airline CEO Emirsyah Satar have brilliant plans and promise "We will be one of the world's best airlines by 2014 with a five-star Skytrax rating and maybe even an Air Transport World award." In Europe by next year Amsterdam is planned to be resume in the airline network thanks to the A330/200s. In 2011 the next step is to replace with B777s. Together with Rome, also Frankfurt and London are in the wishing list while new stops to serve.

Air Dolomiti confirm Rimini services

Air Dolomiti. 100% owned by Lufthansa confirm in winter season 2009/10 the routes Rimini-Munich and Rimini-Vienna. These services are increased and Munich-Rimini si now planned with two daily flights operated by ATR42/500s instead of BAe146/300s or EMB195s. The route Vienna-Rimini is planned daily instead of 3 times a week.

 

City Airline resume Milan services

City Airline with effect March 29 2010 will resume flights on Gothemburg-Milan Mxp route. The route is scheduled three times a week with MD87s.
