Effectively Dec 2010 Meridiana will open the new daily flight Milan Linate-Bari.
New code sharing are applied on some Lufthansa flights from Frankfurt to four gateways in Italy. Bologna, Florence, Turin and Venice are now appear in the Japanesse carrier network map.

Eurofly, the budget arm of Meridiana will fly again the US in summer 2010. Plans reports about to resume flights from New York JFK to Naples (2xweek) and Paòermo (weekly). Today there are no confirm about services to Rome FCO.

Continues the change of layout on Airbus narrow body fleet. The old Alitalia A320s planes will have 165 seats instead 156. The AirOne A320s will have 165 in place of 159. Next year the new slim seats will applied to A319 with 138 seats and A321s upgraded to 200.
AirOne will have only 5 A320s in future and the ones with AP lovery will be repainted and many of them are just transferred under the Alitalia AOC.
Three more A320s are expected in delivery brand new from Airbus by the end of year 2009 and 10 in 2010.
Four MD82s have left the fleet thanks to the delivery of latest brand new A320s. The B737s fleet in AirOne will be removed in the second part 2010.

This morning a Windjet A319s operating flight number IV492 with 128 passengers and 5 cre members enroute over Belarus from Forlì to Moscow Domodedovo was diverted to Minsk due to the pilots have found a windshield crack. The prirority landing was performed safely and no injuries are reported. The Executive Committee for Alitalia - Compagnia Aerea Italiana SpA in a meeting today in
Rome, headed by Roberto Colaninno, had examined the management status of
the third quarter related to the consolidation of the Group, explained by Chief Executive Officer Rocco Sabelli.
In the third quarter, the Alitalia Group has achieved an operating
profit of +15 ml. €, an improvement compared to losses in the first
quarter (-210 ml. €) and second (-63 ml. €). Consequently, the
operating loss for the first nine months, from 13 January (date of
start of operations) to 30 September 2009, was reduced to -258 ml. €.
Revenues for the period amounted to about 838 ml. €. Over 6.3 ml.
