New wines in the Alitalia inflight service to North America

With a view to improving the inflight service in Magnifica Class, Alitalia is renewing the catering service offered with a new selection of Italian certified products and recipes of our regional culinary tradition.

The new service was established under the patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, in cooperation with Buonitalia, the company on behalf of the Ministry that promotes excellence in the world the Italian food and wine.

The AICIG (Italian Association Consortium with geographical indications), the initiative, along with Europeans Young Chef Restaurateurs Association (JRE) has invested in regional menus, always different, which will be served every two months on long-haul flights. The service was launched on last month with the authentic flavors of the cuisine in the Abruzzi and Molise Regions, easy and full of perfume, which meet seafood and mountain areas dishes.

The next month its the time of the menus that comes from Veneto Region, later followed by the ones that comes from Tuscany Region.

A selection of the best wines with DOC and DOGC certification complements this special culinary experience.

The service is currently available on flights from Italy to New York, Chicago, Miami and Toronto.
