The new run for AirOne is low cost. Yesterday Rocco Sabelli and Roberto Colaninno, respectively CEO and Chairman ofm Alitalia has showed the new business case of the new market positioning of AirOne in the budget fare flights with key point at Milan Malpensa.
On March 29 2010, five A320s are expected in business from the Milanese key important gateway with destination 14 ports of call in Italy, Southern Europe and Northern Africa. The selected routes, most of them are all year round and two only are seasonal.
The new destinations in Italy are: Alghero, Trapani, Palermo, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Bari, Brindisi, Naples. Tirana in Albania; Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza in Spain. Cairo and Tunis in Northern Africa.
The pricing applied is extremely competitive versus the competitors EasyJet and Lufthansa Italia and uit starts by 25€ one way all inclusive.
With the arrival of the new Airbus A330 aircraft in summer 2010, Alitalia
will introduce a Premium Economy Class cabin. Passengers
traveling in Alitalia's Premium Economy Class will enjoy a private cabin with
more leg room and added space.
On board, passengers will be offered a welcome drink as well as a Magnifica Class amenity
kit and hot towels. The cabin will also feature business tools and
connections such as USB ports and individual PC power connections. On
board catering will reflect Alitalia's economy class cabin.
Frequent flyers traveling in Alitalia's Premium Economy Class will accumulate more miles than what is earned for standard economy class travel.
Alitalia informs that electronic tickets can now be issued
and plated on Alitalia (055) for itineraries that include connecting
flights in the United States on United Airlines. The development of
interline e-ticketing capabilities with United Airlines means added
convenience for passengers originating outside of Alitalia’s gateway
cities of Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York (JFK and
Newark airports). Look for the “E” identifier in the itinerary display,
which indicates e-ticketing is available.
Travel agents may consult the GDS for complete information regarding interline
e-ticketing procedures between Alitalia and United Airlines and other
carriers.
No more flights to Casablanca from summer schedule 2010. The decision made by Royal Air Maroc to establish a new flight between Verona to Casablanca have forced the Italian airline to give up the route.
Royal AIr Maroc by March 28 2010 will open a new stop to Italy: Verona. The new route to Casablanca is offered thrice weekly on mondays/thursdays/sundays. This is the fifth gateway in Italy and the fouth in the Northern part of the peninsula. The targets are business, leisure, ethnic passengers to Morocco and the option to swap travelers in the large number of destinations available off from Casablanca to Africa.
Lufthansa will resume flights to Bari from March 28 2010 on daily basis from Munich with CRJ900s operated by Lufthansa CityLine.

Lufthansa is back to Bari after many years in the past operated by Air Dolomiti.
The flights to London Gatwick in departure from Florence "Amerigo Vespucci" airport by Feb 10 2010 will have the code share with British Airways. The route is operated twice a day and both the flights shows the UK flag carrier flight numbers. This agreement is another step on the excellent relations between the carriers commenced some years ago when Eurofly have rented at Milan Linate one daily slot to British Airways.
The new deal allows the formal landing of British Airways at Florence with flights operated by the partner carrier Meridiana. London Gatwick allows some connections to the World and with Oneworld alliance partner carrier. The closest hub of London Heatherow is the way to use the extensive availability of flights in departure to the gateways served by the British Airways network.
The flights are operated with Airbus 319s with 12 seats in business class named Electa Club and 108 in economy class service.

Mistral Air has under contract for two weeks one ATR42Fs operated by Aviavalsa. The operations are overnight mail services from Pescara to Brescia. First service is planeed tonight.
