British Aiways apply code share on Meridiana flights from Florence
The flights to London Gatwick in departure from Florence "Amerigo Vespucci" airport by Feb 10 2010 will have the code share with British Airways. The route is operated twice a day and both the flights shows the UK flag carrier flight numbers. This agreement is another step on the excellent relations between the carriers commenced some years ago when Eurofly have rented at Milan Linate one daily slot to British Airways.
The new deal allows the formal landing of British Airways at Florence with flights operated by the partner carrier Meridiana. London Gatwick allows some connections to the World and with Oneworld alliance partner carrier. The closest hub of London Heatherow is the way to use the extensive availability of flights in departure to the gateways served by the British Airways network.
The flights are operated with Airbus 319s with 12 seats in business class named Electa Club and 108 in economy class service.
