Tunisair launch Venice-Tunisi

Venice will become the third gateway served in Italy by November 2010 when a new twice weekly flight is available. The new route is expected to be operated with A320s. The release of this new flight was this morning in Rome.

Air Italy with fourth B737/300s in service

Recently Air Italy on May 20 2010 have added in fleet the fourth B737/300s. Its registered EI-IGS and the delivery flight was on Shannon-Verona. This bnew twinjet is a fule saver plane because it flies with blended winglets. Currently Air Italy aligns 8 B737s, of which six Classics (2 -400s, 4 -300s) and three NGs (1 -700s, 1-800s).

Meridiana fly give back A319s EI-DEY.

In the next coming month of June, A319s EI-DEY is reported on the way to Brussels Airlines as OO-SSD. It appears that expensive costs in leasing rates have favoured to opt the switch in place with current former A319s F-OOUA in long time storege at Olbia since last October 2009 and now predicted to replace EI-DEY on the airline network schedule.

Livingston is close to be sold?

Livingston is available for sale? That's the news appeared today on a major important travel news agency. No confirm comes from the airline, currently in the hands of the film producer Massimo Ferrero and a fund. The rumors reports a due diligence in progress from a foreign financing company, probably egyptian with interests of italian investors. In the same release are reported financial problems and that financial year report was not published until now; airports and airplanes lessors appear the actors with financial issues not honoured.

Air Explore probably is unable to fly on time?

Various rumors in the market of air brokerage speaks that Air Explore should not be able to obtain the AOC on time for dispatching the B737/400s in Italy, right on time with beginning of planned operations. Verona is the rumored airport which Air Explore was predicted to base the plane.

Ryanair increase Bologna-Paris Beauvais to 10xweek by W10/11

Ryanair, the European leader in low fares will increase from 7 to 10xweek the route Bologna-Paris Beauvais as from Nov 2 2010. The new upgrade is the addition of new frequencies on tuesday-thursday-saturday. In these days the route is expected to be served twice a day.

Ryanair fly domestic Brindisi-Rome Ciampino by Sept 1st

Ryanair will add another new domestic route in Italy, by Sept 1st 2010 a daily flight on Rome CIA-Brindisi is available. The competition growths on the route currently serviced by Alitalia and Blu Express.

Wizz drops flights on Pisa-Bucarest

Wizz, the eastern Europe biggest budget airline wil reduce from 3xweek to 2xweek the route Pisa-Bucarest BBU. Pisa recently added in the network from some months have seen the schedule reduced by 1/3 and the services to Katowice stopped after only 6 weeks of operations.

Itali Airlines operates soon for Star Airways

Star Airways - the new budget carrier from Albania is shortly to commence flight operations thanks to the leasing of a pair of MD82s from Itali Airlines. The official start up is planned as from June 7th to Milan Malpensa, Pisa.  After that Bergamo, Cuneo, Genoa,  Rimini, Rome Ciampino, Turin, Treviso Venice, Verona.

10 years of Delta from Venice

Delta Air Lines and Venice airport celebrates today the 10th Anniversary of flights of the route Venice-New York JFK. More than one million passengers has been carried by the Delta Airlines planes until now. Delta Air Lines in code share with Alitalia fly daily on the route towards the Big Apple. Its confirmed the resume of the route Venice-Atlanta operates seasonal with four times a week now and by June 1 2010 Iis five times a week. These flights can offer connections to more than 200 destinations in North America, Central and South America enclosed The Caribbean.

These routes are operated with 216 seater B767/300s recently equipped with blended winglets. These twinjets offer 35 seats in Business Elite and 181 in economy class. In flight service with on demand programs of music, film , movies are available in Business Elite equipped with 160° recline seats, indeed roomy with 152cm pitch between rows, the catering is provided by the excellent menu created by Michelle Bernstein with her 5 main course menu.

Livingston to Dominican Republic in summer 2010

Livingston holds traffic rights from Italy to Dominican Republic serving La Romana from Milan and Rome FCO. Two times a week on mondays and wednesdays from Milan Mxp to La Romana and weekly on mondays on Rome-La Romana. These flights are operated with 297 seater A330/200s with business and economy class.

Livingston offer to the market the round trip in economy class at 599€ without taxes, the business class is available from 1860€ without taxes.

Air Explore will fly charter routes from Italy

Slovakian leisure airline Air Explore that soon will get a second hand B737/400s will base the plane at Verona. An Italian broker company has contrated this plane for several charter chians on behalf for some Italian tour operators.

Wizz stop to sell tickets for Treviso-London Luton

Continue the addition or remove of routes by Wizz in the network. Part of them was commenced and part was on the period of advance booking before start up. Today they has removed the Treviso-Luton planned to begin soon by June 19 2010 and now not available for sale.

Livingston is back to Cape Verde

Livingston on behalf for Cabo Verde Time tour operator will fly weekly every thursdays on Milano Malpensa-Ilha do Sal with 210 seater A321/200s aircraft.

Air Italy and Alitalia code share flights

The route Turin-Rome FCO is now operated 13 times a day and Alitalia and Air Italy has applied code share on all flights, of which 11 are operated by Alitalia and 2 from Air Italy.  Giuseppe Gentile President of Air Italy says " Fiumicino represents a fundamental crossroad in the domestic air traffic and for Air Italy the route is another step ahead to the increase of presence of the airline.
