Air Italy close the FY2009 with turn around at -15% with 193 million €. The ebitda is 12,8 million € (+180%) and ebit at 6.9 million €, net losses are 1,9 million €. Air Italy have debts for 9,8 million €, with 11,7 million € of assets. 1,1 million passengers were carried.
They has delayed the beginning of new flight operations off from Bucuresti Otopeni and with destination Bologna, Milan Bergamo, Venice and Verona. The new schedule of start up is:

Air Europa increase the available flights to Italy thanks to the codeshare established with Alitalia. Today they fly 2 times a day from Rome to Madrid and with new agreement they'll increase the capacity until 5 daily flights, of which 3 operated by Alitalia . Yet, Air Europa schedule now 4 weekly flights from Venice to Madrid, the decisoon is to continue with same number of weekly frequencies and to upgrade capacity replaceing the today Embraer 195s with B737s, giving to the market more 500 seats. Rober Ajtai, Air Europa Italy's marketing manager marketing declares "Thanks to the agreement with Alitalia it shall be possible to reach Madrid with 5 daily flights in place of 2 daily flights currently suitable".
The board of shareholders recentkly decides to issue ordinary shares for 40 million €. The new capitaliztaion deadline is on next Oct 31st 2010. This new capital increase will cover the demand of funds for continuing the road map planned on the airline business plan that needs 70 million € for developing the company. Meridiana S.p.A., a company part of the holding is tasked to supply 40 million € to Meridiana Fly.
The summer programs of Blue Panorama are focused towards Cuba which she has over the 50% of market share from Italy. Aruna and Curacaor will be the highlights in the leisure market after they was served on occasional incentive operations. About Caribbean srea they'll set up a second weekly flight to Cancun from end of June, they resume services to Bahamas and continue to serve Dominican Republic with 4 weekly flights in departure from Rome, Milan and Bologna. Blue Panorama In 2009 has carried the 65% of 114000 passengers towards Cuba, of which 15000 with round trip tickets only bought with travel agencies. Cuba consistes the 20% of the airline money incomes.
New route uploaded from Air Vallee is the seasonal Rimini-Lamezia Terme on mondays, fridays, saturdays with 31 seater Dornier 328JET in the period July 3-Sept. 29 2010.
In last April 2010 Servisair of Angola have got a former Alitalia MD82s I-DACY and now registered D2-ACY.
Alitalia - Compagnia aerea Italiana will increase to 14xweek the schedule on Rome Tripoli as from July 2010. Recently with summer timetable 2010 they has also increase flights tio Tel Avivi from 2xday to 3xday and Algiers from 11xweek to 13xweek. Tripoli was improved by April from 10xweek to 12xweek.
Spanish budget airline Spanair will launch the new route Naples-Barcelona by July 26th 2010 on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays with A320s aircraft. This is the third route launched in Italy after the Venice-Barcelona and Venice-Malaga.
Servisair of Angola have recently ibtained a former Alitalia MD82s I-DATU that shortly is re registered D2-ATU. The plane in full airline livery has been delivered from Naples to Luanda via Tamanrasset-Accra.
Hungarian based airline Wizz will add the new route Budapest-Catania, operated weekly on thursday as from June 21 2010, its moved to saturday by the end of July. 180 seater A320s will fly the route.
The summer peak time between end of July thru mid September will see the increase of weekly frequencies until 12xweek on Madrid-Naples operated both by Air Nostrum. The additional flights are available due to increased demand required by the market.
I apologize if this news it is not about an airline of something else. I believe its right to give a tribute to Stelio Frati, which was passed away in Milan yesterday night.
Stelio Frati can be defined the best designer of aircraft that ever Italy had until now. The beautiful planes born by this important masterpiece continue to be immortal despite he got airborne for the last time. They'll continue to fly and they'll remind the genius that has created them.
F8L Falco's, SF260s, General Avia 22 Pegaso and other brilliant planes was born from his great pencil. The artist have left this world.

Alitalia - Compagnia Aerea Italiana is back to Amman by June 10 2010. The route is resumed after various years of suspension, the new flight is four times a week on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays, sundays. The flight is operated in the night and from Amman the schedule is on mondays, wednesdays, fridays, sundays.
Air Europa is target the leisure market from Italy. Globalia Group owns Air Europa, as from July 15 2010 until October 15 2010 will fly the new route Rome FCO-Palma de Mallorca. The new route is twice weekly on thursdays and sundays with 186 seater B737/800s.
