Alitalia is ready to serve Salerno by July 2010
Talks are currently in progress between Alitalia with Salerno Airport and local authorities in order to open soon the services with Rome FCO and Milan Malpensa. These services surely are granted using partner airlines like Darwin Airline with 50 seater Saab2000s. Alitalia of course wants compensations and the amount reoported by the press is 7 million € as support marketing risk cover.
Alitalia in the last have planned to resume flights from October ut recently some situations are changed and the start up was anticipated. Currently Salerno, located south of Naples is without flights after that Air Dolomiti stopped services to Milan Malpensa and Verona.
