The route Rome-Washingtion is going very well and by the coming winter season is confirmed the use every day of B777s aircraft. Its an upgrade, considering that United usually introduce the B767s due to low demand.
Korean Airlines is on the way to found the solution in future to operate non stop the services from Milan and Rome to Incheon on both ways. Currently the route is a circular twin stop Incheon-Rome-Milan-Incheon.
Yesterday, Alitalia Airbus A330-200, registration EI-DIR scheduled on flight
number AZ615 from Boston,MA (USA) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy) with 244
passengers and 14 crew; in the initial climb after take off from Boston's runway
15R has called mayday reporting failure on left hand engine. The engine type is GE CF6.
