United all year round with triple-7 to Rome

The route Rome-Washingtion is going very well and by the coming winter season is confirmed the use every day of B777s aircraft. Its an upgrade, considering that United usually introduce the B767s due to low demand.

Korean is looking for Milan and Rome non stop services to Korea

Korean Airlines is on the way to found the solution in future to operate non stop the services from Milan and Rome to Incheon on both ways. Currently the route is a circular twin stop Incheon-Rome-Milan-Incheon.

Alitalia A330s heads back to Boston due to failure

Yesterday, Alitalia Airbus A330-200, registration EI-DIR scheduled on flight number AZ615 from Boston,MA (USA) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy) with 244 passengers and 14 crew; in the initial climb after take off from Boston's runway 15R has called mayday reporting failure on left hand engine. The engine type is GE CF6.

Flight was interrupted at 2000 feet, when engine was shut down and secured, the plane is returned to Boston. A330/200s EI-DIR was back to Boston after 20 minutes of flight time. Fire engines reported smoke from the aircraft and fire on left one Passengers was disembarked after airplane stop on the runway, no injuries are reported.

Ryanair is back to Verona

Three routes will be avialable by winter timetable 2010/11 in departure from Verona. Ryanair is back after a pair of years on this airport. The new flights are:

- Verona-Cagliari (4xweek) on mondays, wednesdays, fridays, sundays

- Verona-Charleroi (3xweek) on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays

- Verona-London Stansted (3xweek) on tuesdays, thursdays, sundays

These new flights are operated with 189 seater B737/800s.

The route Brescia-Cagliari/London Stansted can be considered ceased at end of summer timetable.

FlyOristano will launch new routes

New thrice weekly routes will join the network of  with effect July 1 2010. Brescia to Pisa is on monday, tuesday, thursday; Brescia-Rimini is on friday, saturday, sunday, both operated with F50s. The services on Oristano-Rome FCO are modified and operated daily except wednesdays.

Meridiana fly lease one more A320s

Its not terminated the sequence of leasing signed recently by Meridiana fly. EI-EZS is a second hand A320s msn 1823 is now reasy for delivery all white with titles.

Ryanair will launch the 32th destination from Bologna: Porto as from Nov. 3rd 2010

Five new services launched on last thursday and today Melisa Corrigan - Itay/Croatia/Greece sales & amarketing release the 32th destination from Bologna: Porto.

The new destination will begin by Nov. 3 2010 with three flights a week on mondays/wednesdays/fridays.

Bologna – Oporto : 18:45-19:15 mondays/wednesdays/fridays

Oporto - Bologna: 15:50-18:20 mondays/wednesdays/fridays

ElbaFly opens seasonal services to Milan and Rome

Next week is the great time when Elbafly will open the seasonal services from Elba - Marina di Campo airport to Milan Linate / Rome Urbe using a operator Professione Volare.

Small planes will fly the routes, thrice weekly to Milan Linate and twice a week to Rome Urbe.

This services will end by Sept 3 2010 and they are operated with 8 seater Cessna Caravan. the web site where to book the flights.

Alitalia growths to Japan

New services to Japan are planned to be added by Alitalia thanks to the routes demise of JAL that stops services to Italy ay end of September when they'll close Rome and Milan flights.

Alitalia services from Milan Mxp to Tokyo Narita increase from 3xweek to 4xweek. The weekly flights from Rome will growth from 9 to 10xweek.

The operations are granted by B777/200s.

Meridiana fly today launched its direct links between Rome Fiumicino and Tortoli Airport in the Province of Ogliastra.

Alitalia signs agreement with pilot trade unions

Alitalia has signed an agreement with all pilot trade unions  - FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL, UIL Transpoti, UGL Trasporti and Unione Piloti - which includes the involvement of crews in the preliminary activities aimed at constant updating of operational protocols, with at the center of these actions, the human factor.

The agreement is designed to introduce a monitoring system for flight operations, called Flight Data Monitoring, whose goal is to refine the protocols adopted by the Company.

The agreement, among the most advanced in Europe, specific rules and procedures to protect confidentiality of the work done by the Pilots and represents a further strengthening of the common and Company Drivers to ensure standards of excellence for flight operations

Alitalia open Rome-Amman

This evening is scheduled the first revenue flight on Rome FCO-Amman operated on four weekly basis. Alitalia is back to Amman after some years when flights was ceased by old carrier due to network restructuring reasons.

Alitalia is huge present in the Middle East with direct flights to Tel Aviv, Damasco, Beyrut, Istanbul and Teheran. Suitable connection in and out with long haul flights to and from Northern America are available. The new route is operated with A320s with overnight schedule. 402€ round trip is the launch fare available between July 20 to Novembre 15 2010.

Alitalia offer double class service and in business class is available hot catering service.

Ryanair launches 5 new routes from Bologna

Fez, Lanzarote, Marrakech, Tenerife and Zaragoza are the special 5 new destination announced by Ryanair. Ryanair is pleased to increase flights and destinations from Bologna due to the important returns got from the market in term of interesting bookings and load factors. In April the traffic results reports a 17% passengers growth.

Ryanair increase flights on Duesseldorf Weeze to Milan/Bergamo and Treviso

The expansion of operations made by Ryanair into Duesseldorf Weeze will affect some routes already in operations to Italy. Milan/Bergamo from daily to 11xweek, Treviso from 4xweek to daily The start up is planned with fall 2010/11 timetable
