Talks are in progress and the opportunity to resume services on Milan Linate-Trieste are now in definition between Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia administration, Trieste airport managing company and Alitalia. The new operations could be started by next winter timetable 2010/11. Alitalia stopped the service in last 1998.
Pegasus will launch new routes to Italy as from July 30 2010 with daily flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Milan/Bergamo and Rome FCO. The routes are stilla available for bookings from 49.99€ one way.
The new chapter of Alpi Eagles is reported soon. July is coming and the rumours speaks about that. The new ownership composed by Gio.Im in the hands of Messinese investor Antonino Giordano, followed by Arredamenti
Navali Città di Venezia (Rossato-Aduso group) and Mr. Mauro Calvano. They has respectively the 85%, 10% and 5% of shares of Eagles SpA. Currently 5 million € is the company capital and soon it is probably increased, if necessary, to 10 million €. Mauro Calvano was appointed CEO and it has signed the contratc for three former Air France Fokker 100s. These hets will open three routes: Catania, Olbia and Lamezia Terme.
In the meantime they has ijn progress all the stuffs to obtain the AOC from Italian CAA ENAC. The airline HQ is at Marghera, not so far away from Venice airport. In the begiining schedules appears with limited operativity than the slots in the hands. Currently is on the way the selection of pilots and crews after that intermediate management was already employed.The planned workforce is estimated in 70 units.
The base is Venice airport and talks are now in progress with. The brand will continue to be Alpi Eagles, but the graphic images will change and to be updated. The full network will be available by the winter and further details shall be availble when brand shall be officially revealed.
Fokker 100s should be a transit workhorse until that a batch of Sukhoi-Alenia Superjets are available in 2012.
New seasonal route is proposed shortly by Iberia and operated from Air Nostrum from Bilbao to Rome FCO with 4xweek schedule. Timetable offer flights on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays, sundays with 90 seater CRJ900s aircraft. These services will commence on July 23 until Sept 5th 2010.
This evening the Italian soccer team for South Africa 2010 is lifted by a Boeing B777/200s scheduled on a special charter flight from Milan Mxp to Johannesburg. 3 pilots and crew composed by 8 people plus the staff for special flights is in duty tonight.
Alitalia is a official partner of the Italian soccer federation and Casa Azzurri along the WCC from June 11 to July 11 2010.
Thanks to the agreement signed with Italian soccer federation, Alitalia was the official carrier with 6 teams.

Air Vallèe board of shareholders recently has decided to change the airline main offices location from Aosta to Rimini. The airline in the hands at 99,7% of Costantino family from Genoa will not change the plans regarding Aosta airport currently under expansion. The group of companies which Air Vallèe is part own Avda, the Aosta airport Corrado Gex managing company with 51%. It has the 100% of Helops, the heliworks division.
Itali Airlines MD82s I-DAVA was positioned on June 6th 2010 from Rome FCO to Tirana for beginning ACMI operations on behalf for Star Airways of Albania. Three round trip flights were operated, the first revenue flight was on Tirana-Milan Mxp-Tirana.
Two new routes to Italy are in the plans of LOT in the coming year 2011. Milan MXP-Krakow with all year round schedule and 5 times a week is the first route. The following one is the seasonl three times a week Pisa-Warsaw.
Trawelfly has recently leased a B737/300s G-STRI from Astraeus. It shows the full livery of this italian airline. The operations are under 5W AOC.
The high demand has forced Danube Wings to establish a new weekly flight on Bologna-Crotone with effect July 1 2010. The new rotation is available every thursdays

Sevenair, part of Tunisair group of companies is starting by June 1 5 2010 a new twice weekly flight from Naples to Tunis with ATR72 turboprops aircraft. The new route is operated seasonal on tuesdays and saturdays. The flight is available on major GDSs platforms for bookings.
The new route Crotone-Bergamo is now available for bookings on www.danubewings.eu . The new route is weekly on saturdays as from June 26 2010.

Danube Wings will add weekly flights on sundays from Bratislava to Bergamo as from June 26 2010; Bergamo to Olbia as from June 27 2010.

Some minutes ago Alitalia flight number 620 made took off from Rome Fiumicino runway 25. Currently is between Rome and Elba Island, Italy at FL150 and its operated by B777/243s EI-DBL in old colour scheme, the Walter Landor one. Landing time from schedule is 1.35pm, the take off from Rome was with almost 20 minutes of delay. Terminal 5 in Los Angeles will handle the flight after landing.
Ribbon cutting ceremony is planned at 1pm at LAX AIRPORT with airport, media and Italian government officials which will attend the flight fot that ceremony - LAX airport spokesman said.
Alitalia was the only airline to offer non stop flights from Italy to LAX for 17 years from 1985 to 2002, but the service stopped after 9/11 recession of traffic.
Alitalia was back in June 2008 for a while, 5 months later the route was ceased due to the world recession and airline problems.
