On last July
21 2010, has started the new service Ottima, the new business class food service on international
flights lasting less than 3 hours leaving from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate. This is agreat improvement concerning quality service offered to the customer because many dishes are served directly from tray.
Main topics:
•
intervention in the Catering differentiation with meals depending on
scheduling and the inclusion of hot pasta on lunch and dinner, regional specialities snack at other times;
•
redesign of the tray with the introduction of new graphics on covers named
"Excellent" and addition of a porcelain bowl for fruit.
The lunch / dinner service provides as follows:
- Cured meats and Italian cheeses
- Hot pasta to serve on the pot empty round by the crew
- Warmer bread and bun
- Placed inside the cup chopped fruit
- Dolcetto on tray (chocolate / amaretto)
"snack":
- Round plate pre-arranged halfway with cold component (salami / cheese / fish carpaccio, ...)
- hot regional dishes (rice balls, rustic pie ...) served by the crew
- Warmer bread and bun
or
- chopped fruit oplaced inside the cup (alternatively, mousse)
- Trick on tray (chocolate / amaretto)
Twice a week is the new route Venice-Tirana that commence in the next days of August . Belle Air is absolutely the leader in the market between Italy and Albania.
Aerosvit will add the bnew four weeklly flight Milan Mxp-Odessa on mondays/wednesdays/fridays/sundays with EMB145s aircraft. The new route is effective by Sept 20 2010.
New North-South lifts are available with Ryanair are available from Oct 31 2010. The new routes are daily from Bologna to Palermo and Verona to Palermo with 189 seater B737/800s. Bologna adds the 34th destination and Verona its the 6th. Flights are already available for bookings.
New routes from Italy to Kosovo and Macedonia was uploaded on Belle Air website with effect yesterday.

Vueling, the low fare brand of Iberia is on the way to launch by Oct 31 2010 the new four weekly route Milan Mxp-Bilbao with effect Oct 31 2010. 180 seater A320s will fly the route. Vueling is on the way to add soon another flight fro0m Bilbao with destination Rome.
Two daily flights will link Trieste and Milan Linate as from Oct 4th 2010. Alitalia will fly the route and in the package the new flight Trieste-Genoa is enclosed. The routes are operated with 90 seater Canadair CRJ900s. 3 million € is reported from local press is the co-marketing aid put on the table by the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in order to support the route development support.
Flights has loaded less passengers than expected. This is the declareation that comes from Air Dolomiti concerning routes Rimini-Munich and Rimini-Vienna. The schedule offered was until some weeks ago repectively twice daily to Munich and daily to Vienna, currently available only on weekends.
Air Dolomiti is on the way tomdecide the future of them, but its possible that flights will given up with winter timetable 2010/11.
These routes were added in last May 12 2009 and the future was apparently bright because from multiweekly they were upgrade with winter timetable 2009/10.
Eagles Airlines first F100s is landed two days ago at Venice Marco Polo airport, its registered F-GLNI. Bookings could be open soon.
Its registered I-LZAN first ATR72s planned to be in operations with Belle Air Europe, the sistership of Belle Air with base at Ancona, Italy. Not yer is know at the moment about planned start up of regular services.
Yesterday Alitalia took in delivery 2nd brand new A330/200s from manufacturer Airbus at Toulouse.
As from next coming winter timetable Air Malta after several years is cleared to land to Milan Linate with a new twice weekly flight on weekends (saturday and sundays).
Its possible that shortly Ryanair will open sales of tickets on Bologna-Edimburgh all year round from effect winter 2010/11. Usually seasonal the route was shortly uploaded as with possible sales in next coming winter season.
Bologna-Dublin is another route predicted to be limited as seasonal that shortly will open sales.
Lythuanian charter airline FlyLal Charters now is rebranded as Small Planet Airlines with an interesting new livery. It has a small impact in Italy due to in summer one or two B737s are based here for leisure operations to Greece and Spain.
