New jets to Livingston

Recently Marco Mancinelli, Livingston marketing manager explained that soon the airline will get 3 A330s and hopefully an A340s in the long haul. The short haul will be coped by A320s. The new heading is to develop leisure routes in partnership with tour operators.

Turkish increase to Venice

Ten weekly flights is the offer proposed to the market from Turkish Airlines on Venice-Istanbul. The new service is in departure at 6.45pm with landing at Istanbul at 10:05pm. Mondays, Thrusdays, Saturdays are the days where the new flights are planned as from Nov. 1 2010.

Runway excursion to a Windjet A319s

Yesterday evening Windjet flight number IV243 operated by Airbus A319-100 EI-EDM on Rome Fiumicino to Palermo (Italy) with 123 passengers and 6 crew has turned off the runway and came to a stop off the strip with both main gear struts collapsed. Ove Palermo Punta Raisi airport was in act severe thunderstorms and windshear at approximately 20:00L (18:00Z). Apart three passengers that gets minor injuries no other problems are occurred, the evacuation was via slides. The aircraft is reported in tail strike attitude. The airport is currently closed until today at 21.00LT, scheduled flights now are in operations to Trapani airport.
The airline said that the airplane encountered windshear causing it to veer off the runway. Italian ANSV opened an investigation.


Synergo private equity fund off from Air Italy

Synergo, managed by Gianfilippo Cuneo, after 4 years have left Air Italy. The 40% of stahares in the hands has been purchased by Giuseppe Gentile, currently the Chairman & CEO and Alessandro Notari . Air Italy was created in 2005 by Cpt. Giuseppe Gentile and Alessandro Notari. The decision leave open any way of future cooperation with Synergo. This financial operation was conducted with legal support of Gianbenso Borgognoni Vimercati, famous attorney. Rumors reports in 11 million € the price paid for obtaining back the 40% of shares in the hands of Synergo and bought 4 years ago spending 5 million €. .Unicredit bank has supplied the money for that operation, securing the current assets of some companies that owns Air Italy like Pathfinder Corporation, Marchin Investments and Zain Holding, now with in the hands the100% of Air Italy Holding  and than Air Italy. FY2009 for Air Italy has seen 192,9 millioni € of incomes, -10% above 2008, the ebitda of 12,8 million, the ebit at 6,9 million and losses for 1,9 million €..

Alitalia is back to Rio de Janeiro in 2011

Alitalia confirms the announcemtn relased in the last months about new Rio de Janeiro service re-opening. The new flight is effective  by June 5th 2011 with four flights a week om tuesdays, fridays, saturdays and sundays. They'll use newest delivered A330/200s aircrafts in triple class service.

Alitalia has served Rio de Janeiro for a long time since the post WW2 times in the late 40s with Avro Lancastrian as first and than with DC4s, DC6s, DC7s, DC8s, DC10s and B747s.

Alitalia to Brazil currently serve Sao Paulo daily.

 

Livingston fleet reduced to one A321s

In these days further three planes has left the fleet, one A321s was recently ferried and yesterday A330s I-LIVM/N has left Milan Malpensa to Paris ORY returned to lessor ILFC.

Long haul flights now are operated in ACMI only.

Small Planet presented at Rome

Yesterday at Roof Garden of La Griffe Luxury Hotel - Rome, Aeroservizi Air Charter Broker has showed the plans of Small Planet Airlines interested to obtain soon the Italian AOC. The new entity born from partnership between Aeroservizi Air Charter Broker  andAvia Solutions Group, already leader in the Baltic region aviation market, presents the new guidelines to the Italian market. Small Planet Airlines  wants to be the leader in the free time. This pool of airlines of Lithuania, Estland, Poland has seen Italy such as new market and they has found in Aeroservizi Air Charter Broker the right partner. At this time the airline is on the way to obain from Italy the AOC for flying unrestricted from Italy to all the markets . Aeroservizi Air Charter Broker MD  Stefano Canessa is in the Board and it was appointed such as airline Accountable Manager

This is a key success for Aeroservizi Air Charter Broker. Rome is the airline base but the focus will be in Northern Italy at Milan Malpensa where a jetliner is planned to be based like in the past years. The airline hopes to fly with his AOC by winter 2010/11 season .

Jet Airways opens non stop service Milan Mxp-New Delhi

As from Dec 5 2010 Jet Airways will land at Milan Mxp with a daily service from New Delhi. The new route is granted with A330/200s aircraft.

No flights to Elba with PSO aids

The PSO on flights to and from Elba Island should be considered competitorless. No ones of the three interested subject is reported by local media without necessary requirements to operate the services and to obtain public compensations.

Three the airlines that has presented the applications: an english operator suppoorted by a local company of Grosseto, an eastern europe airline that has operated in the past along the summer and an Italian broker with agreement signed with an airline.

The routes planned by the PSO was Elba-Florence and Elba-Pisa with 50 seater aircraft and rates that ranges from 30-35€ one way.

Windjet first revenue flight on Bergamo-Moscow

99 passengers on the first revenue flight Bergamo-Moscow and 160 on return are the first load s data available of this new route commenced today by Windjet. The new flight is thrice weekly on tuesdays/thursdays/saturdays and shortly Windjet will begin the weekly service to St.Petersburg by Oct 24 2010 every sundays. The routes are operated with 180 seater A320s aircraft.

Livingston appoints new commercial & marketing manager

Yesterday evening Livingston has apponted the new commercial and marketing manager as Marco Mancinelli. He has amassed experiences in the same market of tour operating and airlines. He says " the opening of regular flights is a fundamental topic of our business plan with highest attention to the airline core business confirm in the leisure on demand from the tour operators, increasing at the same time the customers list".

Cityline Swiss commence in November

Starting November this year Cityline Swiss will start regular flights on Rome FCO-Marseille-Paul six times a week and thrice weekly on Rome FCO-Dortmund with 150 seater MD80s.

Belle Air increase weekly flights to Bologna

Belle Air, the most important Albanese carrier is on the way to increase from 3 to 5 flights a week starting Oct 31 2010. The new frequencies are available on friday and sundays. With effect Dec 10 the route will get the upgrade to daily until end of January when the timetable continue to offer five flights a week..

Livingston give back 2 planes to lessors

Two jets part of the fleet of Livingston has left Italy on the way back to the lessors. Its an A330s regs I-LIVL and an A321s regs EI-LVB. One more A321 is predicted shortly to leave the fleet next month. Livingston in future will align 2 A330s and an A321s.

Eagles Airlines will launch Rome Fiumicino-Venice

Twice daily is the new schedule Rome-Venezia that will commence twice daily (wekkend one flight a day only) by Oct 31 2010.
