Meridiana fly deals with Ferrovie Italiane/Italian Railways

Meridiana fly choose to fly on Frecciarossa high speed trains. Meridiana fly signs a del with Italian railways company Trenitalia and elects as a partner on trunk route Rome-Milan, which in 2010 has produced the 24% positive change of passengers with a peak of  +34% between October 2010 and October 2009. As from November 1 2010 the connexion train and plane is a real possible partnership.

Trenitalia (Ferrovie Italiane group) CEO Vincenzo Soprano and Meridiana fly CEO, Massimo Chieli, today they has signed this agreement that plans to introduce the route Milan-Rome, operated by Frecciarossa trains in the Carnet Multifly of Meridiana fly.

The partnership is the first important step in order to the full connectivity between train and plane, its a sinergy with evident potentials, both to be developed.

In the contract has been defined 5 types of Carnet Multifly composed by 12 coupons of plane and train that plans an entry level of 4 train coupons until 8 on each tipology of carnet.
Trips must be travelled at least 18 months from Carnet Multifly purchase and the price is 2000 euro.
In order to mantain the same rules of Meridiana fly offer in the journey with Trenitalia, the booking changes are limited until the departureand allowed only one time in the 24 hours after the departure and they can be made with Meridiana fly call center or the sales channels of Trenitalia.
Customer can purchase from tomorrow the new Carnet Multifly with Meridiana fly call center.
