Air Italy has been cleared by Italian CAA to do C-Checks on B737s. They has several plabnes in fleet of various series from B737/300s, -400s, -700s and -800s.
These checks rae scheduled every 4000 flying hours and they stiop planes on the ground for about 15 days.
Air Italy is cleared to work on at Milan Malpensa or Verona Villafranca.
March 31st 2011 is the start up date for the new route Casablanca-Cuneo operated by Air Arabia Maroc.
The new route recently released and presented to the press and market was scheduled to commence on July 1 2011.

Blue Panorama Airlines has painted in Blu-express.com c/s B737/400s EI-CUN. It was seen at Rome FCO on Feb 25 2011.

President Vito Riggio, the CEO of Alitalia Rocco Sabelli, the Director
General and the Director of ENAC Alessio Quaranta Central Coordination
Airports Enac Daniel Carrabba, presented the Safety Briefing Card
created for the first time in the world for passengers blind and visually impaired.
The card, which has all the safety information for passengers, is made in
Braille, with figures in readability for visually-impaired and in
accordance with the requirements of legibility and color contrast for
the visually impaired.
The new card was developed in collaboration with ENAC, the Blind National Federation Association. Alitalia will be the first airline in the world to make it available on board the aircraft of about 90 medium-haul Airbus fleet.
On
board the Alitalia Airbus aircraft medium-range passenger blind and
visually impaired as well as receiving a personal briefing by the cabin
crew can see the new card which will contain:
printed text with fonts and colors suitable for the visually impaired (and any companions)
texts printed in braille
Figures
printed in 3D to illustrate issues such as the location of exits, the
design and cabin configuration, how to fasten and unfasten your seat
belt, their positions in case of emergency, the use of lifejackets and
the oxygen mask.
Alitalia due to security reasons have ceased flights to Tripoli with immediate effect. Alitalkia is ready to resume flights when security matters are reported fine. The airline si in strict continue contact with Italian Foreign office of Italian Governent in order to have the contuinue update about situation.
Three new routes has been recently released by Ryanair in departure from Bologna.
These are operated twice a week by mid April.
Bologna-Rhodes on mondays and thursdays
Bologna-Larnaca on thursdays and sundays
Bologna-Kos on tuesdays and saturdays
The route Badajoz-Rome is planned to be added by Air Nostrul along summer season 2011. The schedule is two flight a week.
Montenegro Airlines will resume flights to Milan Malpensa as from April 8 2011 on tuesdays/fridays/sundays.
Twice weekly on monday and friday is the new schedule of Palermo-Reus as from April 2011.
Air Nicaragua the new Nation flag carrier is now underway to be set up thanks to the experience matured by Blue Panorama Airlines. The fleet is based on B737/300s and the first routes applied on timetable are the Managua-Caracas and Managua-Havana. Its planned also the opening of Managua-Mexico City. The start up is very faster and first operations are plannes as from June 2011.
The new three times a week flights from Catania to Bari/Cagliari are interesting developments released by Blu Express in the Mediterranean market. Bluexpress is interested also to open Catania-Ibiza and Rome-Alicante,.
Twice weekly as from March 27 2011 is the new schedule proposed by Air Algerie on Milan Mxp-Algiers. The days of operation are on wednesdays and sundays, respectively with B737/800s and B737/600s.
Meridiana fly has released the start up of seasopnal operations to Japan in order to support the incoming westbound leisure traffic to Italy. The operations are weekly from Milan and Rome and are reported blocked spaces allotments by a Japanese tour operator. Twice classes A330/200s will fly the routes.
Windjet is back to London Gatwick again. The new route from Catania is planned to be released by May 2011 with three flights a week schedule. The twelveth Airbus will join the fleet soon and uit will be an A320s.
