Twice weekly on mondays and fridays is the new route Bologna-Reggio Calabria as from April 18th 2011 operated with 100 seater F100s.
Forlì will become a new key point for Eagles Airlines along summer 2011. The new schedules will start as from March 27 2011 with a twice daily Catania-Forlì. Further services announced are: Forlì to Beograd (2xweek), Forlì to Nimes (2xweek). New aseasonal flights also on Forlì-Olbia and weekly from Forlì to Lampedusa.
Eagles Airlines has received third F100s.
Along summer season 2011, as from end of June, Ethiopian will open the new stop of Milan Mxp from Addis Abeba. The new flight is an intermediate stop of the route to Brussels.
Daily as from July 2011 is the schedule of Milan Mxp-Hong Kong now operated four times a week. The schedule will continue with B777/300ERs and the airline is indeed satisfied about route load performances.
With effect March 2011 the route Rome-Portorose is planned twice weekly by Denim Air with 50 seater Fokker 50s on thurdsay and sunday.
Air Italy in the next coming month of June will add the new route Rome-Havana in conjunction with Alitalia feeder flights in origin from the network.
Ryanair shortly will offer four new destinations from Bergamo:

LOT will continue to fly from Turin to Katowice along summer season 2011. The route operated 6 times a week shortly will see the change of flight equipment from EMB145s to EMB170s.
Turkish Airlines confirm the opening of new services from Istanbul to Genoa, Naples, Turin along summer season 2011. The route Genoa-Istanbul will commence on May 4 2011 and its operated in the first period with 3 times a week and than increased to five times as from June 27 2011. The services to Naples from Istanbul are planned to be scheduled from June 28 2011 wuith three flights a week and than increased to 5 weekly services on Aug 2 2011. Turin-Istanbul is thrice weekly by Aug 2011.
Istanbul - Genoa (GOA)-Istanbul flights are planned as 3 flights per
week and will be launched as of May 4, 2011 and the frequencies will be
increased from 3 to 5 flights per week as of June 27, 2011.

Four new long haul destinations will appear on Alitalia network in the next two years. Abu Dhabi and Seoul are scheduled by 2012. Delhi and Johannesburg by 2013. In the mean time the first B767/343ERs has operated some days ago the last revenue service with Alitalia. It will be returned to lessor and delivered to Condor as D-ABUT. The airplane was ferried to Tel Aviv on last Feb 20 2011.
The leisure flight Florence-Lyon in coming August 2011 will be daily.
daily as from June 15 2011 is the new service Venice-Doha operated with A320s aircraft. The new service will allow to open the third fgateway in Italy after Milan and Rome.
Meridiana fly is going now thru a difficult period. The management will operate 910 job cuts in the next short future. Its about the 45% of workforce and 9 MD82s are planned to be grounded and returned to lessors. There are modificiations also in the airline structure with several services passed in outsourcing.
In the batch of 18 destination enclosed in the reduction operated by Ryanair is present also Perugia. Flights will be stopped as from end of Feb 2011.
