Seasonal service Milan Mxp-Dublin with effect summer 2011/12 is upgraded to all year round with four weekly flights on mondays/wednesdays/fridays/sundays. Previosuly only the direct service to Milan Linate was the only one operated 12 months per year.
With immediate effects the French third level carrier has dropped the route Geneve-Milan Mxp.
New twice weekly flight for Wizz in departure from Treviso, the new
destination is Skopje with a twice weekly service. Its operated on
tuedsay and saturdays with A320s. In the first tend days of operations the flights are from Venice due to runway closure at Treviso.
18 weekly flights is the offer available with Turkish Airlines on Rome FCO-Istambul as from June 10 2011 with a new four weekly flight operate with overnight stay at Rome.
Weekly as from June 18 2011 is a new service on Olbia-Moscow DME operated every saturdays with A319s. The route is summer only.
After SAS, also Vueling takes the opportunity left from Lufthansa Italia
operations demise and as from winter timetable 2011/12 will add the
fourht daily flight on Barcelona-Milan Mxp currently operated thrice a
day.
Six times a week from sunday to friday is the new flight Stockholm Arlanda-Milan Malpensa with schedule as from Oct 31 2011 with 123 seater B737/600s.
With immediate effect the thrice weekly route Beograd-Trieste has been cancelled. For several years this route was a connection between this Italy's northern east airport with Serbia operated with ATR72s turboprop.
Weekly as from May 23 2011 on mondays is a new cargo route from Baku to Milan Mxp with B747/400Fs.
Seasonally from July 2 to Oct 2 2011 the route Rome FCO-Los Angeles is planned to be operated every day with B777/200s.
The end of summer timetable 2011 will see the disappear of Lufthansa Italia. This is the decision matured from main Lufthansa top floors in Cologne.
As from July 2011 Alitalia will give up the routes Turin-Berlin and Turin-Istanbul. In the meantime from July 4 2011 will increase Turin-Amsterdam to twelve weekly. The route to the KLM hub is planned to be operated with CRJ900s.
Three routes shortly will be affected by reductions as from September 26 2011. The routes are Timisoara-Ancona/Florence from six times a week to four. Timisoara-Verona from from daily to five a week.
Seasonally from July 4 to end of September Alitalia will add new weekend flights from Bologna to Catania upgrading services to three times a day. As from end of July to the beginning of September the third flight daily is available also on wednesdays/fridays.
