The airline booking engine is now ready to sell tickets on flights from Tortolì to Rome FCO, Milan MXP and Verona.
They are scheduled to commence from Aug 8 2011 until Oct 10 2011 with origin Rome. By Aug 13 2011 to Oct 9 2011 on flights to Milan and Verona.
The operations are on mondays and fridays on services to Rome, saturdays and sunday on services to Milan and Verona.
Danish Air Transport ATR42s was contracted to operate these services.
These flights are under PSO.
Yesterday afternoon B737/8ASs EI-EMI operating flight number Ryanair 4342 from Palermo to Bologna was forced to land at Rome Ciampino due to smoke reported in the flightdeck.

The first international routes operate by EMB175s are Rome-Munich and Rome-Vienna as from Dec 1 2011.
The 2012 will se the Embraer 190s on Frankfurt-Milan Linate as from Jan 1 2012 on all 2xday flights.Rome-Milan Linate with 4xday by Jan 2 2012.
The twice weekly service was commenced on past July 13 2011. Its Asmara-Cairo-Rome on wedensdays and saturdays with A320s aircraft leased from Nouvelair. No traffic rights on Cairo-Rome leg.

Jet2.com has started to sell tickets on new route Rome FCO-Glasgow operated thrice a week (tuesday, thursday, sundays) with a 189 seater b737/800s as from March 29 2012.
