Aerovis operate charter flights to Algeria

Two charter flights was operated today by Aerovis An 12 UR-CEZ from Bologna to Oued Irara Apt, Hassi Messaoud.

Air Vallee is back on Pescara-Turin

Next week could be fine for resuming services between Turin and Pescara. Talks went positive between Air Vallee and SAGA - Pescara airpoort managing company. Michele Costantino leader in Air Vallee is ready to go with agreements for new flights with Genoa, Forlì and L'Aquila.

Pescara-Turin is expected to be operated with 31 seater Dornier 328JETs.

Air Berlin in code share with Meridiana fly

As from winter timetable 2011/12 Air Berlin flights to Italy are full in code share with Meridiana fly. These are the routes involved in the agreement:

7 gateways from Catania (Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Nurnberg and Stuttgart), 4 from Rome Fiumicino (Hamburg, Berlin, Dusseldorf and Nurnberg), 3 from Milan Malpensa and Venice (Berlin, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart), 2 from Bari (Berlin and Munich), Florence (Dusseldorf, Stuttgart),  Naples (Cologne and Stuttgart),  Olbia (Dusseldorf and Munich), Palermo (Mounich and Stuttgart) and Verona (Berlin and Dusseldorf), 1 from Brindisi (Munich).

Thanks to that agreement Meridian fly shall expand the range of routes available to the airline frequent travellers with all Meridiana fly services before and after flights, coupling our cares to the customers and the profesionalism and quality granted by Air Berlin - declares Alessandro Notari Merdiana fly CCO.

Air Transat expands to Italy

Air Transat is planning two additional flights to Italy in summer 2012. The route Rome-Toronto is daily from April 2012 and six weekly to Montreal. Pescara, Venice and Lamezia will have an once a week flight. In 2011 Air Transat has registered an average load factor of 92%. In Italy Air Transat continues to pay to travel agents the 5% of commission fee on each flight.

Both weekly are the new flights from Berne to Catania/Cagliari/Olbia planned in summer 2012 time schedule released by the airline.

Alitalia brand new Embraers are coming in

Yesterday evening EMB190s EI-RNA is landed safely at Rome Fiumicino airport after his long delivery tripo from San Josè dos Campos via Recife, Sal, Casablanca, London Stansted. First EMVB175s is on the way to go home in Italy with same routing, registration is EI-RDA.

 

Itavia memories are back on Oct 1 2011

On next coming Oct 1 2011 at Bologna will begins the meeting of former Itavia airline workforce at 31 years from that carrier suspended operations after 22 years of flight activity. The Musem to the Memory of victims perished with DC9/15 I-TIGI is the meeting point at 10am. In this museum survives the rests of the DC9s crashed on June 27 1980 en route from Bologna to Palermo. 81 people of which 4 were Itavia crews has lost life with.

After that a 12.30pm a lunch is planned on the mountains near Bologna at Capugnao of Porretta Terme.

Lufthansa opens services to Milan/Bergamo

Lufthansa triples to Milan area with opening at Bergamo Orio al Serio airport as from Dec 21 2011. three daily flights are planned  from Bergamo to Frankfurt operated by Air Dolomiti EMB195s.

Bergamo is famous as low cost port of call and now the first legacy opens services in this airport located north east of Milan, about one hour by coach to Milan Centrale FS. In the past the airport was served by Sabena, Luxair.

Flights are available for booking on Lufthansa web site and major CRSs.

Blue Panorama confirms Antigua services

Blue Panorama will continue to fly Antigua from Italy also in the next coming winter season in origin from Milan Mxp. This route is weekly and along Christmas three more flights are scheduled. Antigua is one fo the keypoint of the network operated by Blue Panorama in the Caribbean that lists also Curacao, Aruba and Cartagena, enclosing Cuba, Dominican Republic and Mexico. All flights are operated with 274 seater B767/300ER, of which 12 in Blue Class, the bsuiness class.

Alitalia shortly drops Salerno

In the next days will be operated the last revenue flight on Salerno-Rome and at end of November the route Salerno-Milan Malpensa due to the low profit performances on these routes.

Neos new flights for Costa Cruises

The new cruise journeys on Persian Gulf will see a series of charter flights from Italy:

Milan Mxp-Dubai via Larnaca

Bologna-Catania-Dubai

Verona -Bari-Dubai

all flights are weekly on fridays with 186 seater B737/800s as from Dec 16 2011. These passengers will be sailed on Costa Favolosa that stops in several ports of the area.

easyJet.com on Paris-Cagliari

Twice weekly as from July 4 2012 is the new seasonal service Paris Orly-Cagliari operated on wednesdays and saturdays.

easyJet.com opens Naples-Palma de Mallorca

New seasonal service is Naples-Palma de Mallorca, thrice weekly as from June 30 2012 on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays. Flight are right now available for bookings.

Neos, new operations from Bergamo

/Bergamo is close to see the opening of the new base of Neos, its the fourth of the airline after Milan, Bologna and Verona. One of the the six 186 seater B737/800s will stay permently at Bergamo from monday to sunday. The calendar of operations will see short and medium/long haul operations that will see charter flights to Cape Verde, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt and Canary Islands.

Commenting the news, SACBO the airport managing company of Bergamo "The Neos choice is another time underlines the important catchment area generated from Bergamo airport. The target of Neos is to offer a new port of call in Italy and serving the most important sunspots until now operated from Malpensa, Bologna, Verona and Fiumicino in the same day of operations"

Tenerife and Fuerteventura on mondays, Boa Vista and Sal on wedensdays, saturdays a double rotation to Marsa Alam and two flights to Sharm El Sheikh on sundays. Tuesdays to Zanzibar via Luxor and on fridays to Mombasa with stop at Luxor.

Air Italy lease jets to Saudia

Two B767/304ERs I-AIGG/GJ and a B767/23B I-AIGI are now in operations on behalf for Saudia. They were transferred to Jeddah, non stop fromk Verona on Sept 24 2011 (I-AIGI, I-AIGG) and on Sept 23 2011 I-AIGJ from Milan Mxp to Jeddah via Tunis.

The leasing will expire in the middle of December and its planned that B767/23B I-AIGH will fly on behalf for Saudia again
