Alitalia lifts tomorrow Pope Benedict XVI to Berlin

Alitalia will carry on to Pope Benedict XVI on his trip to Germany.

Tomorrow flight number 4000 operated by an A320s will take off from Rome Ciampino at 08:15am local time with estimated time to land in Berlin Tegel at 10.30am

The crew on the flight deck is composed by two Captains, a first officer and 7 flight attendants choose for merits and professionality in the menwhile of their carreer

The flight is followed as coordinator by the Alitalia Flight Operations Post Holder Cpt. Roberto Germano.

The Captain in duty tomorrow is Giacomo Belloni with more than 10900 flight hours. Apart the Pope and the Vatican State delegation, several journalist will travel with.

Alitalia is the offical carrier since the start up operations and in the last two years they has lifted Pope Benedict XVI to Africa (Cameroon and Angola), in Holy Land, to Prague, Malta, Lisbon, Cyprus and the UK (Edinmburgh and London), to Santiago de Compostela, Zagreb and Madrid
