Avion Express Italia gone
The departure of its general manager Giorgio Valenti with destination another airline was the signal that charter airline is at the end in Italy's division. Workforce has received the formal communication regarding the demise and for Italian employees is now difficult to found a solution.
In 2011 a single A320/200 LY-VEX has operated charter flights from April to September and than subleased when the jet was returned to the lessor. The plans was to fly with a pair of A320s in 2012, but situation is changed when the boss have left the airline.
Holding that runs Avion Express is not interested to go ahead in Italy and continue cargo operations in the Baltic area.
