Volotea new 1st base to Venice

Volotea the new budget carrier created by Carlos Munoz and Lazaros Ros in the past founder of Vueling are now back and they'll open first base at Venice by April 5 2012 with three 125 seater B717/200s.

These jets in the past with Mexicana Click they'll open 14 destinations, of which 5 in Italy. Brindisi (3), Cagliari (4 to7), Palermo (7), Olbia (4 to 7) and Reggio Calabria (3). Flights are intended per week.

Alicante, Malaga, Bilbao, Bordeaux, Budapest, Oporto, Thessaloniki are both 3xweek. Santiago de Compostela and Krakiow are twice a week. All these services are from April 24 2012 with second B717s and the third ship is scheduled to go from June 2012.

Fares starts from 19€ one way and seats are assigned. No rush and hurries for be seated.

100 new jobs are created at Venice with this new base. Volotea wants to go ahead from today 14 to 24 destinations from Venice and 500000 passengers carried in 2012, 1 million in 2013.

The intention is to be the carrier #1 at Venice.
