Carpatair ATR72s jump on the grass at Rome Fiumicino
A Carpatair ATR72/500s YR-ATS in service for Alitalia on flight number AZA1670 Pisa-Rome FCO went on the grass After touch down at Rome FCO due to gusting winds in force over the airport from several hours. The severe weather conditions has slowed the traffic flow in operations at Rome FCO. 46 passengers onboard and four crews, sixteen people of which one crew are reported injured and Two of them hospitalized in red code (one 30 years old woman flight attendant and a 46 yearsaged woman with Paraguay's citizenship). Passengers and crews are still in the airport for usual paperwork with investigators from Italy's Air safety agency.
