Alitalia on March 7th 2013 inaugurates its new Lounge "Dolce Vita" at
Rome Fiumicino Terminal 1. The new Lounge was completely renovated in
style and service passengers boarded on Magnifica Class, Ottima,
Business, Comfort and the members of the Club Freccia Alata Plus
Alitalia, Freccia Alata and SkyTeam Elite Plus, it has a size of about
700 square meters. The new hall reborns exactly in the location of the
historic Alitalia lounge named in the past Bramante, the most popular of
its customers. For this, the Company has chosen to present the new
concept of "Lounge", not just a place to relax while waiting for the
flight, but its a real "flagship store" with values, distinctive
elements of Alitalia and the Italian excellence Italian in the world,

"Dolce Vita" was enhanced by accessories specially designed by

high-class men and bring an elegant tie. Both accessories are designed
with sole Made in Italy style.
The project is a collaboration with Robilant, who oversaw the design,
and with Paolo Castelli SpA, which has ensured that the lounge of the
"Dolce Vita" in exceptional times: only 2 months for the largest of the
15 lounges of Alitalia. As we entered the room "Dolce Vita" you are
greeted by a video wall made by ETT Solutions with a dynamic animation
and stunning. Very important component of the aeronautics dominant in
"Dolce Vita" thanks to the materials used for the furniture, stylized
recovery of original pieces of aircraft as the warheads transformed into
floor lamps or MD80 radar radomes transformed into hanging lamp, the
welcome desk and the seat of the multitouch screen made with an air
intake of the engine. To amplify the aeronautical feature the presence
of a flight simulator, an innovative choice in the lounges that Alitalia
has implemented its customers to live the thrill of flying a plane. The
lounge "Dolce Vita" is divided into two main areas studied for the
optimization of traffic flows: the refreshment and relaxation area
located to the left of the entrance, and the servicing area, check-in
and ticketing, located to the right of the entrance.
In the refreshment and relaxation dominates the Pilot Bar, characterized
by the use of original instruments present on board of planes with the
presence of large well known Italian brands. With Illy you can enjoy the
best production of Italian coffee and Eataly a particular selection of
culinary excellence of "Made in Italy". This area has been designed to
ensure complete relaxation, with the area Sofa Paradise characterized
Bend-Sofa, designed by Patricia Urquiola, completely made by B&B
Italia, the area in front with tables Orbit from the Collection Sintesi
made by Gruppo Sintesi and Flow chair by MDF Italia.
In servicing the fundamental elements of the service are guaranteed by
the presence of a total of nine positions, including five dedicated
check-in and four to ticketing. This area of the Lounge, made with ETT
Ltd. has characteristics more dynamic with spaces dedicated to
multimedia thanks to the tablet located in the area "office" which is
available to customers with a wireless printer. A multitouch screen used
simultaneously by multiple users will discover the world Alitalia
customer browsing to its destinations through appropriate tools. In the
Lounge is offered to customers free WiFi service.
In the dining room there is also an area dedicated to merchandising
Alitalia, where you can admire and buy online unique products under the
brand name of the company characterized by high quality and Italian
design. Characteristic feature of the "Dolce Vita" is also the "Green
Tube", an internal structure in the shape of the fuselage of an
aircraft, which thanks to the lamps Prandina Loft F31 gives a greater
brightness of the room and enhances the Alitalia brand.

At the inauguration of the new Alitalia Lounge, within its path of
corporate social responsibility, says the Association Onlus Peter Pan of
Rome, a charity association which thanks the historic "MilleMiglia
Charity Program" and a fundraiser. The Peter Pan Association Onlus was
born in Rome in 1997, by the desire of a group of parents of children
with cancer to offer practical help to other families in the best way to
