Still quiet on the European scene with the majority of new Airbus & Boeing deliveries going to operators in the USA or the Far East.
Aer Arann entered voluntary administration on 26/8, though operations are continuing as normal.
Air Berlin A320 D-ABDH (2846) was ferried from storage at Dusseldorf to Paderborn on 25/8. It still wears full Azerbaijan A/L scheme & was to have become 4K-AZ77. It was followed on 27/8 by D-ABDI (2853) also still Azerbaijan scheme & which was to have become 4K-AZ78. B738 D-ABKO (37757) arrived at Berlin/Tegel on delivery on 26/8. A319 D-ABGB (2467) left Berlin/Tegel still in Air Berlin scheme on 25/8 on delivery to TAM as PT-TMF.
Air One B734 EI-DXC (26300) was ferried back from Norwich to Naples on 17/8 after painting all white.
Air Sweden A320 SE-RJM (0289 ex 9H-ABX, TC-ONC, A4O-MC, F-OHGB, A4O-EP, A9C-EP, F-WBGE) was registered on 18/8 & entered service on 20/8.
All Nippon. Expected delivery of the first production B787 to the carrier has slipped from 4Q10 to the middle of 1Q11 due, the manufacturer says, to problems with the aircraft's horizontal stabilizer & the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.

Brussels A/L is expected to acquire a pair of A320s next April for use on behalf of Club Med Charters.
China Southern Cargo B777F B-2081 (37313) was delivered from Paine Field, WA to Guangzhou on 24/8.
CSA B734 OK-EGP (28476) is to become VQ-BIE with UT Air & was ferried from Southend to Prague on 23/8 after painting.
Denim Air F50 PH-JXJ (20232) was ferried from Oristano-Fenosu to Maastricht on 25/8 following lease to flyOristano.
EasyJet A319 G-EZFZ (4425) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Gatwick on 25/8 & G-EZGA (4427) to Paris/CDG on 27/8.
Etihad A332 A6-??? (1070) was noted as F-WWYF at Toulouse on 22/8 in full scheme, but minus tail logo.
Exin Air An-26B SP-FDP (17311903) suffered an undercarriage collapse at Tallinn on 25/8 while preparing to depart to Helsinki. It will be recalled that sister ship SP-FDO (7310503) force-landed on the frozen Lake Ulemiste on 18/3 following a loss of power during a go-around while inbound to Tallinn from Helsinki.
FedEx MD10F N370FE (46608) was ferried from storage at Victorville, CA to Greensboro, NC on 19/8. B752F N915FD (24120) arrived at Paris/CDG from Memphis, TN on 25/8 for European operations.
Free A/W F50 SE-BRM (20207) was ferried from storage at Athens to Maastricht on 21/8, where it joins SE-BRS (20206) & SE-BRV (20199), which arrived last week.
Golden Air AT72 SE-MDH (917) was delivered all white from Toulouse to Angelholm on 26/8.

Hi-Fly A345 CS-TQP (886) was noted at Toulouse on 22/8 still in full Kingfisher scheme.
IceJet suspended operations on 25/8 after failing to agree a new lease deal on its fleet of four Do328JETs. The aircraft have now been put up for sale & are:

LAN Cargo B763F CC-CZY (30780) was delivered from Santiago to Rio de Janeiro/Galeao as PR-ACG for ABSA Cargo on 24/8.
Libyan A/L A320 5A-LAH (4405) made its first flight on 24/8 as F-WWBX & was ferried from Toulouse to Finkenwerder the same day. This is the first of seven for the airline, with four to be delivered this year & three in 2011. Presumably, these will replace TS-IND (0348) & TS-INE (0222) currently on lease from Nouvelair.
Lufthansa A388 D-AIMC (044) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Frankfurt on 25/8.
Lufthansa Cityline E190 D-AECH (19000376) arrived at Munich on delivery on 27/8. Also see under UT Air.
Luxair B735 LX-LGP (25439) has become 4L-AJA for Euroline Georgia & was ferried from Luxembourg to Maastricht on 23/8 for repainting from Luxair scheme. It left there on 26/8 in basic Euroline scheme bound for Tbilisi.
Malev F70 HA-LME (11575) was ferried from storage at Budapest to Norwich on 26/8 for painting into Georgian International A/L scheme, with whom it will become 4L-GIC.

A7-AAZ B737BBJ2 (37545) of the Qatar Amiri Flight was redelivered from Basel to Rabat-Sale on 23/8.
G-BZAV B463 (E3331) left Southend on 25/8 on delivery to Cobham Aviation Services & is to become VH-NJY.
N493AG B737BBJ (36493) has become P4-AFK with Premier Avia JSC & left Basel on 25/8, routing via Nice to Moscow/Sheremetyevo.
N737GG B737BBJ (29136) was cancelled from the US register on 23/8 & registered to the Chad government on 25/8 as TT-ABD.
VP-BOQ B735 (27153), formerly with Aeroflot-Nord & now registered to AerCap, left storage at Woensdrecht on 27/8 bound for Keflavik.
VP-CAK B733 (28760), registered to DVB Bank, was ferried from storage at Bruntingthorpe to Keflavik on 27/8. It had been expected that this was would be broken up at Bruntingthorpe.
Nordwind A/L B752 VQ-BKE (28484 ex N716TW), formerly with TWA & American A/L, was delivered from Miami, FL to Manchester on 27/8 & will doubtless continue on to Moscow/Sheremetyevo in due course.

Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-DYE (39003) had been rolled out at Renton, WA by 25/8.
Open Skies B752 G-BPEJ (25807) was reregistered F-GPEJ on 18/8 & positioned from Gatwick to Paris/Orly on 22/8. G-BPEK (25808) was ferried from Brussels to Gatwick 22/8 for maintenance, cancelled from the UK register on 25/8 & had become F-GPEK by the following day.
Regional F100 F-GNLJ (11344) was ferried from Lille to Norwich on 27/8 for painting, presumably for a new operator.
SAA is expected to retire its last B744 at the end of next month. Only two remain in service, ZS-SAZ (29119) & ZS-SBS (28960).
SAS is to lease its eight MD90s to an unidentified US operator (almost certainly Delta A/L) for five years. Five of them are currently leased out to Blue1, who are replacing them with B712s, while the other three are with Hello, who have already transferred three to Delta A/L. Withdrawal of the MD90s will begin in 3Q10 & be completed by the end of 2Q11.
Saudi Arabian A333 HZ-AQD (1141) was delivered from Toulouse to Jeddah on 23/8. A320 HZ-AS21 (4414) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Jeddah on 24/8.
Sun Express B738 TC-SNT (40755) had been rolled out at Renton, WA by 23/8 & was noted on the flightline 25/8.
THY A333 TC-JNI (1160) was noted at Toulouse in full scheme as F-WWKH on 22/8.
Transaero B735 VP-BYO (28922 ex N23661) left Rome, NY on 24/8 on delivery to Moscow/Domodedovo. Former United A/L B772 EI-UNV (28714 ex N205UA) was delivered from Syracuse Hancock, NY to Moscow/Domodedovo on 26/8. The carrier now has six B772s in service, four from United A/L & two former Singapore A/L machines, with a further two Singapore A/L examples due later this year.

UT Air took delivery of former Lufthansa Cityline CRJ2 VQ-BGQ (7200 ex D-ACJF) at Khanty-Mansisyk on 22/8. This is the carrier's sixth CRJ2. Also see under CSA.

Air France A320 F-HBNB (4402) made its first flight in full colours on 2/8 as F-WWBS & was ferried from Toulouse to Finkenwerder the same day. A388 F-HPJE (052) made its first flight in primer but with Air France tail markings on 10/8 as F-WWAN.
Avanti Air. The delivery of AT42 D-BCRO (122) to Helitrans A/S as LN-HTC was delayed from 13/8 to 16/8.
British A/W B752 G-BPED (25059) left Gatwick on 17/8 as N948FD heading for Victorville, CA via Bangor, ME for conversion for FedEx. This should be followed in early October by G-BPEE (25060) as N949FD.
Brussels A/L B462 OO-DJG (E2180) was ferried from Brussels to Bacau on 17/8 prior to delivery to Avia Traffic of Kyrgyzstan.
China Southern Cargo B777F B-2081 (37313) made its first flight on 14/8.
CSA B734 OK-EGP (28476) was ferried from Prague to Southend on 16/8 for painting into UT Air scheme.
EasyJet A319 G-EZFY (4418) made its first flight on 10/8 as D-AVXJ & was delivered from Finkenwerder to Stansted on 18/8. G-EZFZ (4425) made its first flight on 17/8 as D-AVXL. On 13/8, G-EZGA (4427) was noted at Finkenwerder painted & having its engines fitted, while G-EZGB (4437) & G-EZGC (4444) were on the production line.
El Al. Having abandoned attempts to join one of the three major alliances, the carrier is considering setting up its own alliance to be called "Eastern-Western" in partnership with UT Air, AeroSvit & Armavia.
Farnair Europe. Correcting last week's blog, the AT72 that was delivered from Toulouse to Basel following freighter conversion was actually HB-AFW (419).
FedEx B777F N857FD (37728) was delivered from Paine Field, WA to Memphis, TN on 13/8. N854FD (37725) made its first flight on 16/8. Also see under British A/W.
Finnair B752 OH-LBV (30046) has become VQ-BHR for Nordwind A/L & was delivered from Helsinki to Antalya on 17/8.
Flyglobespan B738 G-DLCH (30040) has become SU-MWE & was delivered from Belgrade to Cairo for Midwest on 16/8. B763 G-CEOD (30586) will become 5Y-KYW with Kenya A/W.
Free A/W F50 SX-BRS (20206) was ferried all white from storage at Athens to Maastricht on 19/8 & was followed on 20/8 by SX-BRV (20199).
HiFly A313 CS-TEI (495) was ferried from Amman to Lisbon on 18/8 following lease to PacificFlier (see Skyliner for photo).
Highland A/W. Having been cancelled from the UK register on 12/8, Jetstream 31 G-EDAY (639) & Jetstream 41 G-ISAY (41014) were restored on 17/8, though both now to owners in Sweden.

KLM B733 PH-BTI (28720) was ferried from Amsterdam to Norwich on 16/8 prior to a two-month lease to Kenya A/W.
KLM Cityhopper F50 PH-LXP (20296) left Maastricht on 14/8 on delivery to Compagnie Africaine at Kinshasa/N'Djili routing via Djerba & Niamey. E190 PH-EZR (19000375) arrived at Amsterdam on delivery on 20/8.

LOT B735 SP-LKB (27417) left Warsaw on 16/8 on delivery to Rwandair as 9XR-WE.
Lufthansa A320 D-AIZI (4398) made its first flight in full scheme as D-AVVL on 5/8 & was delivered from Finkenwerder to Frankfurt on 20/8. A388 D-AIME (061) made its first flight in primer but with Lufthansa tail markings as F-WWAV on 3/8 & was ferried from Toulouse to Finkenwerder the same day.
Lufthansa Cityline CRJ2 D-ACHA (7378) left Cologne on 18/8 for Toronto & is due to go to UT Air.

Open Skies B752 G-BPEJ (25807) arrived at Gatwick for maintenance on 15/8. It was cancelled from the UK register on 18/8 & is expected to be reregistered F-GPEJ prior to departure. G-BPEK (25808) is also expected to become F-GPEK later this month.
SAS B735 LN-BRM (24645), which arrived at Bournemouth on 9/8, had been reregistered EI-EOE by 11/8. MD82 OY-KGY (49420) left Oslo on 17/8 routing via Keflavik & Bangor, ME to Kingman, AZ for Allegiant Air.
Saudi Arabian A320 HZ-AS34 (4397) was ferried from Finkenwerder to Toulouse as F-WWIL on 5/8. HZ-AS21 (4414) made its first flight on 13/8 as D-AVVI.
Swiftair AT72 EC-KKQ (763) left Las Palmas on delivery to LAMIA at Praia (Cape Verde), where it will be operated by Swiftair (see Skyliner for photo).
TAM & LAN have agreed, in principle, to merge with the new company to be known as LATAM, though the two airlines will continue to operate independently after the merger.
Turkmenistan A/L B772 EZ-A777 (39548) made its first flight on 16/8.

Viking A/L. One of the airline's customers, Flight Options (Kiss Flights), has unfortunately gone into administration. As a result, Viking is finding it necessary to downsize its fleet by three aircraft. Presumably, these will be the Canadian registered B738s leased from Sunwing A/L.
Vladivostok Avia A320 VQ-BHS (1213 ex 6Y-JMF, EI-DKF, 6Y-JMF) arrived at Vladivostok on delivery on 12/8.

Air Dolomiti AT42 I-ADLP (604) was ferried from Eindhoven to Mönchengladbach on 2/8 after painting all white & is for Trip as PR-TKD, while I-ADLU (609) was ferried from Eindhoven to Verona on 10/8 after painting all white, also for Trip & to be PR-TKC.
Air France B744 F-GITC (25344) was ferried from Vatry to Kemble on 10/8 for scrapping. Also with an appointment with the scrap man is A320 F-GFKU (0226), which was ferried from Paris/Orly to Southend on 12/8. Air France A388 F-HPJD (049) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Paris/CDG on 12/8.
Air One B734 EI-DXC (26300) was ferried from Naples to Norwich for painting on 7/8.
AIS A/L Jetstream 31 PH-DCI (916 ex N916AE, 4X-CIJ) arrived at Lelystad on delivery on 13/8 still carrying its Israeli registration.
Alitalia Express E145 I-EXMI (145286) became F-WKXH & was ferried from Clermont Ferrand to Dnepropetrovsk on 10/8 for Dniproavia.

Atlantic A/L. Electra N178RV (2010 ex ZK-TEB, N33506, CF-NAX, N63AJ, N178RV, C-GNWC) arrived at Coventry for the airline back on 06/09/02. In the event, it never took up its reserved registration of G-LOFI & did not take to the air again until 12/8 when, having been registered C-FIJX on 5/8, it left Coventry bound for Shannon. From there, it is to be ferried to Canada for Buffalo A/W.
Avanti Air AT42 D-BCRO (122) has become LN-HTC for Helitrans A/S & was delivered from Mönchengladbach to Skien on 13/8.

It is understood that the airline is desperately seeking more B757s to lease, not helped by Astraeus declining to extend the lease of G-OJIB (24292) as it is already committed to leasing it to Saudi Arabian for the Hajj.
Emirates A388 A6-EDL (046) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Dubai on 12/8.
Etihad Cargo A332F A6-DCA (1032) left Toulouse on 9/8 on delivery to Abu Dhabi.
Farnair Europe AT72 HB-AFS (198) was redelivered from Toulouse to Basel on 12/8 following freighter conversion.
Flyglobespan. Two of this former airline's aircraft were finally cancelled from the UK register on 12/8. B738 G-DLCH (30040), which has been stored at Belgrade, is for an Egyptian carrier, while B763 G-CEOD (30586), which has been parked at Shannon, is for Kenya A/W.
German Sky A/L after months of storage at Budapest, the carrier finally took delivery of B738 D-AGSA (28323 ex LN-RPM, SE-DYA, LN-RPD, EI-CXU, EC-IVV, OY-CJS) on 12/8 when it was ferried from Budapest to Cologne (see Skyliner for photo).

HiFly A343 OY-KBM (450) was noted all white with Air Algerie titles at Paris/CDG on 7/8. The carrier will take delivery of A345 CS-TQP (886) later this month. The aircraft was originally intended for Kingfisher as VT-JVA & then Sonair, but has remained in storage as F-WWTG.
Highland A/W. Jetstream 31 G-EDAY (639) & Jetstream 41 G-ISAY (41014) previously operated by this failed airline were cancelled by the UK CAA on 12/8.
JAL B744D JA8907 (26351) was registered to Wells Fargo Bank Northwest as N893DB on 6/8 & left Tokyo/Narita the same day routing via Anchorage, AK to Walnut Ridge, AR where it will be scrapped.

Korean Air Cargo B744F HL7412 (24200 ex HL7479) was registered to Boeing Aircraft Holding Co as N794BA on 4/8 & ferried from Incheon to Boeing Field, WA via Anchorage, AK on 6/8.
Lufthansa Cargo MD11F D-ALCS (48630) left storage at Victorville, CA on 2/7 & was ferried to Xiamen for heavy maintenance. This was completed by 11/8 when the aircraft set off back to Frankfurt via Hong Kong & Sharjah.
MyAir. All four of this former carrier's CRJ9s left Exeter on 13/8 now wearing their Vietnamese registrations (see last week's blog) routing to Borg El Arab (Egypt) on their way to Air Mekong in Vietnam.

F-BAIF C-47B (16371/33119 ex 44-76787, 476787) belonging to the Wings of Liberation Museum & carrying "2100847/L4-B" was badly damaged (possibly beyond repair) when it became stuck under a bridge near Sassenheim while being transported from Best to Valkenburg on 13/8. The aircraft was being moved to the former airbase for use as a backdrop in a new musical titled "Soldier of Oranje" which is due to start at the end of October.
G-BTNU B463 (E3155) was cancelled from the UK register on 9/8 & is due to be delivered from Southend to African Airline Investments on 14/8 as ZS-SOR.
G-BZAU B463 (E3328) was cancelled from the UK register on 10/8 & has become VH-NJQ with Cobham Aviation Services.
HZ-RCA A318CJ (3932) of MidEast Jet left interim storage at San Juan on 9/8, routing to Toulouse via Gander & then on to Jeddah on 11/8.
Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-NOW (37817) arrived at Oslo on delivery on 2/8. LN-NOX (37818) had been rolled out at Renton, WA by 10/8.
Olympic Air has disposed of A319 SX-OAV (3142 ex HS-PGS, M-ABCL) to THY as TC-JLR, who immediately leased it to BH A/L. It was delivered from Istanbul to Sarajevo on 8/8.
SAS B735 LN-BRM (24645) was ferried from storage at Oslo to Bournemouth all white on 9/8.
Saudi Arabian A320 HZ-AS20 (4392) was delivered from Toulouse to Jeddah via Cairo on 13/8.

Blue Wings A320 D-ANNE (1557) has been returned to jetBlue, but as N527JL, rather than its previous identity of N527JB. It left Perpignan as such bound for Orlando, FL on 29/7.

Hemus Air AT42 LZ-ATS (130) was ferried from Sofia to Karaganda on 4/8 on wet-lease to Asia Wings, where it joins LZ-ATR (151).

Meridiana Fly A319 EI-DEY (1102) is reverting to the registration that it originally carried when delivered to Sabena back in 1999. It was ferried from Olbia to Brussels on 2/8 & will become OO-SSD for Brussels A/L.
Mexicana filed for bankruptcy protection in the USA and Canada on 3/8 with assets of US$500 million and debts of US$1 billion. The company said its bankruptcy filing prevents creditors from seizing aircraft so that operations will not be affected. It is, however, rumoured that two aircraft have been impounded in Canada & one in Chicago, IL. A former Mexican transportation minister said that Mexicana cannot compete with low-cost carriers and US airlines that have pared labour costs through their own bankruptcy proceedings. Mexicana Click and Mexicana Link are not involved in the filing. Adding to the carrier's woes, the FAA have downgraded Mexico's air safety rating to Category 2 which means that Mexican airlines cannot establish new services into the USA and that US airlines cannot honour code sharing agreements binding Mexican and US carriers. Mexicana are in Oneworld and Aeromexico are in Skyteam.
