Air Southwest is to be acquired by Eastern A/W from Sutton Harbour Holdings. An agreement in principle has been reached between the parties & it is hoped that the deal will be completed next month. The Air Southwest brand will be retained.
Air Zimbabwe is to lease two A345s from Hi-Fly & originally ordered by Kingfisher. The first of these is CS-TQP (886 - VT-VJA NTU), which was ferried from Toulouse to Hamburg on 24/9 for painting, & will be delivered to Air Zimbabwe next month. The second may well be c/n 894, originally to have been VT-VJB, & which was allocated CS-TQL a while ago, though I had thought that it was now destined for Sonair.
Astraeus. Three B752s are due to go from Gatwick to Jeddah next week on lease to Saudi Arabian for Hajj operations as follows (subject to last minute change):

British A/W B773 G-STBB (38286) was ferried from Cardiff to LHR on 20/9 as BAW9173E, undertaking its first revenue flight the following day as BAW143 to Delhi. B752 G-BPEE (25060) flew an acceptance flight for FedEx from/to Gatwick on 22/9 as BAW9275E. It is due to become N949FD with delivery to the USA scheduled for next month.
Bulgarian Air Charter MD82 LZ-LDI (53226) has become EK-82226 with Ararat International & was delivered from Sofia to Yerevan on 19/9.

Cathay Pacific Cargo B744F B-HKS (27070) is now B-2455 for Air China Cargo & was noted as such at Hong Kong in full scheme on 22/9. Delivery is due late next month.
CSA B734 OK-FGR (28477) was ferried from Prague to Norwich on 19/9 for painting for UT Air, returning to Prague after paint on 22/9. It is to become VQ-BID.
Cyprus A/W A320 5B-DBD was noted at Larnaca as M-ABCW for Phoenix Aircraft on 19/9 & was ferried to Nagpur on 23/9.
Dniproavia. Further to last week, it is now known that E145 F-WKXL (145436) has become UR-DNY.
Eagle Aviation Europe B744 F-GTIR (27071 ex 9V-SPF) was registered to DVB Bank as N270RP on 15/9 & ferried from storage at Bournemouth to Tel Aviv via Sofia for freighter conversion for World A/W.
EasyJet A319 G-EZGC (4444) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Gatwick on 24/9. G-EZGD (4451) was flown back to Finkenwerder from Dinard as D-AVYA on 24/9, presumably after painting. A321 G-TTIE (2682) flew its last revenue service on 19/9 as EZY8854 from Alicante, before departing to Shannon the same day as EZY8001 on return to the lessor. G-TTIF (3106) also flew its last revenue service on 22/9 as EZY8930 from Faro & then departed the same day to Shannon as EZY8001 on return to the lessor. This was easyJet's last A321 & the current disposition of the retired fleet is as follows:

JAL B744 JA8901 (26343) was registered to AerSale as N364AS on 20/9 & left Tokyo/Narita on 22/9 routing to Roswell, NM via Oakland, CA.
Kalitta Air. Former Northwest Cargo B742F N640US (23888) was delivered from Marana, AZ to Oscoda, MS on 18/9, with N644NW (24177) following on 21/9.
KLM B733 PH-BTI (28720) has become 5Y-KYN & left Amsterdam for Nairobi on 24/9 in full Kenya A/W scheme on a two-year lease. B737 PH-BGL (30369) arrived at Amsterdam on delivery on 24/9.
KLM Cityhopper E190 PH-EZS (19000380) arrived at Amsterdam on delivery on 18/9. This was the last of the seventeen ordered by the airline to be delivered.
LOT E145 SP-LGD (145244) was registered to ECC Leasing Co Ltd of Dublin on 21/9 as G-CGJR, leaving only five of this type still in service with the carrier. E170 SP-LIN (17000313) left Brazil on 23/9 & is due to arrive at Warsaw on delivery on 25/9.
Lufthansa A320 D-AIZJ (4449) made its first flight on 17/9 in full scheme as D-AVVM. The airline's Supervisory Board approved the acquisition of a further 48 aircraft this week for the carrier & its subsidiaries. This breaks down to 20 A320 family & 3 A333s for the airline itself plus 4 A320 family & 5 A333s for Swiss, 8 A319s for Germanwings & 8 E195s for Lufthansa Cityline. The carrier is already the biggest operator of Airbus aircraft in the world.
Lufthansa Cityline CRJ2 D-ACHB (7391) left Cologne on 22/9 for Toronto & refurbishment for UT Air. E190 D-AECI (19000381) arrived at Munich on delivery on 23/9. Also see under Lufthansa.
Martinair will cease all passenger operations next year & concentrate on freight alone.

F-WJKF A343 (378) registered to Airbus Industrie & formerly with Iberia as EC-HQF, was ferried from Chateauroux to Lourdes on 24/9 for further storage.
G-BTZN B462 (E3149) for Aviation Capital Solutions was delivered from Kemble to Manston on 22/9.
P4-MAK B737BBJ (40761) for Samrussitera, made its first flight on 23/9. Delivery is due in November.
P4-NGK B737BBJ (37583) for Itera Holdings arrived at Basel on 22/9 following cabin configuration at Dallas/Love Field, TX (see Skyliner for photo).
Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-DYH (40865) arrived at Oslo on delivery on 24/9. The carrier now has 28 B738s in service, with a further 55 on order. Due before the end of this year are LN-DYF (39004) & LN-DYI (40866). Allocations for 2011 are LN-DYG (39165), LN-DYJ (39045), LN-DYK (39046), LN-DYL (40867), LN-DYM (39005), LN-DYN (39006), LN-DYO (40868), LN-DYQ (40869) & LN-DYS (40870). The company intends to phase out its B733 fleet by 2012. It has also stated that it intends to start long-haul services to Bangkok & New York next year & to eventually operate to up to fifteen long-haul destinations. Currently, they do not appear to have placed any orders for aircraft that could operate such routes non-stop.
Orient Thai A/L took delivery of B744 HS-STC (26548 ex 9V-SMN, B-HKD, N548MD) at Bangkok on 19/9. This aircraft had been stored at Goodyear, AZ as N548MD (registered to WFBN) & had previously served with Cathay Pacific A/W &, prior to that, with Singapore A/L.

Qatar A/W B773 A7-BAL (38244) left Paine Field, WA on 24/9 on delivery to Doha.
Regional E120 F-GTSO (120097) left Clermont-Ferrand on 22/9 on delivery to Naturelink of South Africa.
Ryanair B738 EI-ENC (34980) made its first flight on 17/9 & was followed on 20/9 by EI-ENB (40289).
Saudi Arabian A320 HZ-AS38 (4432) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Jeddah on 21/9. HZ-AS39 (4442) made its first flight on 22/9 as F-WWIA & was ferried from Toulouse to Finkenwerder the same day. Also see under Astraeus.
SmartLynx A320 YL-LCF (0446), which had been leased to Strategic A/L, was reregistered LX-STA on 23/9 & ferried from Paris/CDG to Brussels on 24/9.

Transavia B738 PH-GGW (35831) left Amsterdam on 22/9 in full Gol scheme bound for Belo Horizonte following summer lease & will doubtless revert to PR-GGW.
United A/L B744 N192UA (26881), now registered to WFBN, was ferried from Marana, AZ to Bangkok/Don Muang via Anchorage, AK for Phuket Air on 21/9.
United A/W of Bangladesh has taken delivery of A313 S2-AFF (672 ex HB-IPN, F-OHPX, OK-YAC, M-ABCX) & it was ferried to Bangladesh from Maastricht on 24/9, still as M-ABCX (see Skyliner for photo).

Viking A/L B733 SE-RHV (28567) flew its last revenue service on 19/9 as VIK378 from Kalamata to Gatwick & then departed later the same day to Keflavik using its registration as a callsign, before continuing on to its new owner in Brazil.
Wataniya A/W A320 9K-EAG (4411) was delivered from Toulouse to Kuwait City on 22/9. A further seven A320s are on order for delivery next year.
World A/W DC10F N303WL (46917) was delivered from storage at Marana, AZ to Hamilton on 24/9 for Kelowna Flightcraft. Also see under Eagle Aviation Europe.

Air Atlanta. It is now confirmed former MK A/L B742F G-MKLA (23711) is to revert to TF-ATX following maintenance. TF-ARM (22363) was ferried from Tallinn to Kuala Lumpur for STS Cargo on 17/9.
Air Berlin A320 D-ABFK (4433) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Berlin/Tegel on 13/9.

Alitalia Express AT72 I-ATRR (432) was registered EI-CLD to Magellan Air on 9/9 & is currently parked all white at Shannon.
Arkefly B738 N739MA (30670) was ferried from Amsterdam to Miami, FL on 15/9 on return to Miami Air following summer lease.

Aurigny will not now be sold to Blue Islands. The States of Guernsey announced on 14/9 that they "cannot guarantee that the Gatwick slots will be secured and they cannot be certain that the combined airline would become or remain profitable in the long-term".
Austrian Arrows F70 OE-LFO (11559), which became PH-ZFT, is now ZS-SKA & left Woensdrecht on 15/9 on delivery to Lanseria for AirQuarius. DH8D OE-LGN (4326) left Toronto on 17/9 on delivery to Innsbruck.
Blue Air has now returned all five of its B738s to the lessor. With YR-BID (29641) already stored at Lasham, the other four were ferried from Bucharest to Shannon as follows:

Dniproavia received former Alitalia Express EMB145 F-WKXL (145436 ex I-EXMC) at Dnepropetrovsk on 13/9 when it was delivered from Clermont-Ferrand & it will doubtless join the Ukraine register in due course. The carrier's fleet now includes twenty EMB145s with a further six due this year.

EasyJet A321 G-TTID (2462) was ferried unpressurised from Gatwick to Shannon on 14/9 on return to the lessor. A319 G-EZGB (4437) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Stansted on 15/9. G-EZGD (4451) made its first flight on 10/9 as D-AVYA & was followed on 13/9 by G-EZGC (4444) as D-AVXP. The carrier has ten A320s due for delivery between January & April next year, with the first three to be G-EZTY (4554), G-EZTZ (4556) & G-EZUA (4588). These will be followed by c/ns 4591, 4636, 4646, 4676, 4680, 4693 & 4708, which will presumably be G-EZUC to G-EZUI. Note, G-EZUB will not be an easyJet A320 as the registration is already worn by a Zenair CH601D.
Equaflight Service AT42 LY-LWH (148) was registered to Dot Lt as F-HAEK on 9/9.
Estonian Air has now signed a firm contract for three CRJ9s to be delivered between early 2011 & 2012.
Etihad Crystal Cargo A332F A6-DCB (1070) was delivered from Toulouse to Abu Dhabi on 17/9.
Euro Atlantic A/W B752 CS-TFK (23983) left Lisbon for storage at Kingman, AZ on 10/9. CS-TLX (24176) was ferried from Tunis to Lisbon on 7/9 following lease to Tunisair.
Eurocypria will be merged into Cyprus A/W this winter.

Three more are also to go to the same carrier, D-AVRC (E2251), which is currently parked at Basel, & D-AVRD (E2257) & D-AVRE (E2261), both of which are still in service. These will replace the four former Northwest aircraft currently leased from Safair.
LUZair B763 CS-TQI (25221) was ferried from Colombo to Madrid all white on 10/9 following wet-lease to Sri Lankan & is due to operate for ConViasa from 13/9. The carrier will add a second B763 to its fleet next week, CS-TQQ (26264 ex ZK-NCH, G-CEFG, N411LF), when it is delivered from Miami, FL to Lisbon.

G-MIMA B462 (E2079 ex G-CNMF), registered to Testeroco Tourism Enterprise & flown with Queenco Leisure titles, was cancelled from the UK register on 16/9 as transferred to Romania.
Norwegian Air Shuttle B738 LN-DYH (40865) made its first flight on 10/9. LN-DYE (39003) arrived at Oslo on delivery on 17/9.
Polet SF340B VQ-BGF (218 ex N218AE) arrived at Voronezh on delivery from the USA on 17/9.
Qatar A/W A320 A7-AHD (4436) made its first flight on 10/9 as D-AVVW. Regional. New registrations are now known for the two recent disposals with F-GNLK (11307) now I-GIOI with Eagles A/L & F-GPXJ (11323) now EP-ATE with Iran Aseman.
Ryanair B738 EI-ENA (34983) made its first flight on 14/9 with EI-END (34981) following on 16/9. EI-ENB (40289) had been joined on the Renton flightline by EI-ENC (34980) by 15/9.
Sama A/L has returned three more B733s to the lessor, HZ-BBK to Bournemouth on 11/9 & HZ-DRW (25138) & HZ-NMA (28563) to Dublin the same day.
Saudi Arabian A320 HZ-AS40 (4419) made its first flight on 13/9 as F-WWDU & was ferried from Toulouse to Finkenwerder the same day.
Singapore A/L. See under Transaero.
Strategic A/L of France ceased operations & grounded it aircraft on 15/9 after the authorities refused to renew its AOC. The carrier had A320s F-GSTR (0436 ex F-GJVY, G-BXAT, F-GJVU, OO-TCL, LV-NBZ, N436BV) & F-GSTS (0420 ex N486GX, F-GJVX, OO-TCM, LV-BOJ, N420BV) in service at the time. Both were ferried to Brussels for storage on 15/9, the former from Paris/CDG & the latter from Lyon. The Australian part of the company continues to operate its three A320s & single A332.

Sun Express B738 TC-SNT (40755) arrived at Antalya on delivery on 17/9.
Swiftair MD83 EC-JUG (49847) was ferried from Yaounde to Madrid on 11/9 still wearing Wimbi Dira titles.
Thomas Cook A333 OY-VKI (357) was ferried from Manchester to Oslo on 14/9 on return to the Scandinavian subsidiary.

THY A330s noted at Toulouse on 12/9 were A332F TC-JDO (1004) as F-WWYE in full scheme & A333s TC-JNH (1150) as F-WWYM also in full scheme & TC-JNJ (1170) as F-WWKZ in full scheme but minus the grey flower.
Transaero B772 EI-UNS (28514 ex 9V-SRD), formerly with Singapore A/L, was delivered from Singapore to Moscow/Domodedovo on 2/9.
Travel Service returned B738 YR-BIB (29926) to Blue Air on 11/9 when it was ferried from Prague to Bucharest following summer lease.

UT Air. Former Eurowings CRJ2 VQ-BGK (7122 ex D-ACJA, D-ACRR, C-GFNB) arrived at Khanty-Mansiysk on delivery from Canada on 16/9. The carrier now has a very mixed fleet of one hundred & two aircraft comprising two An24s, twelve AT42s, three AT72s, two B734s, sixteen B735s, two B752s, seven CRJ2s, twenty-nine Tu134s, eighteen Tu154Ms & eleven Yak40s. Uzbekistan A/W A320 VQ-BIM (4417) was ferried back from Finkenwerder to Toulouse still as F-WWDM on 14/9.
Viking A/L B733 SE-RHU (28560) was ferried from Gatwick to Keflavik on 17/9 & from there it will route via Toronto, Curacao & Manaus to Porto Alegre. SE-RHV (28567) is due to follow on 18/9. Both aircraft are being returned early at the request of the leasing company as it has sold them to a new owner. As a result, Astraeus B733 G-STRJ (25119) will undertake some flights on behalf of Viking A/L for the next two weekends at least.

Air France Cargo B744F F-GISB (25302) was ferried from storage at Vatry to Paris/CDG on 6/9. F-GISE (25630) has become TF-NAD for National Cargo & was ferried from Paris/CDG to Dublin on 8/9. It will be operated by Air Atlanta.

Estonian Air agreed this week in principle to acquire three CRJ9s, but no contract has yet been signed. The carrier had originally been expected to take delivery of ES-ACA (15233), ES-ACB (15234) & ES-ACC (15239), but these were subsequently cancelled & the first has now been delivered to PLUNA as CX-CRH, with the other two destined to join the same carrier shortly.
Etihad Cargo A332F A6-DCB (2070) made its first flight on 1/9 as F-WWYF in full scheme but minus tail logo.
Eurowings CRJ2 D-ACRN (7486) is currently at Exeter all white & is for FAI Rent-a-Jet.

Aeroflot. Apparently bowing to pressure from Vladimir Putin to purchase more Russian-built aircraft, Aeroflot has committed to adding a number of Russian-built aircraft to its fleet & those of its associated carriers. It is aiming to acquire 40 Sukhoi Superjets, 11 An-148s & 25 An-140s before 2016. In addition, it has stated that it will take 50 Irkut MS-21s.
Aeromexico is considering adding two or three B767s & a B777 to its current fleet of four B767s & B777s in order to add capacity on its Madrid, Buenos Aires & Sao Paulo routes, all of which were served by Mexicana.
Air Algerie B738 7T-VKD (40858) was rolled out at Renton, WA on 31/8.
Air Alps Do328 OE-LKE (3063) was registered as CC-ACG for Aero Cardal on 26/8 prior to delivery.

EasyJet ferried B752 G-OJIB (24292) from Gatwick to Shannon on 1/9 for repainting at end of lease from Astraeus. It is due to go to Saudi Arabian for Hajj operations & left Gatwick as EZY8001. A319 G-EZGA (4427) was delivered from Finkenwerder to Paris/CDG on 27/8.
Egypt Air A333 SU-GDS (1143) was delivered from Toulouse to Cairo on 28/8. This is the first of five A333s for the carrier, with three due in 1Q11 & the last one in 1Q12. B738 SU-GDX (40757) was rolled out at Renton, WA on 1/9.
FedEx A312F N448FE (260) was ferried from Los Angeles, CA to Victorville, CA on 30/8 for storage.
Gulf Air A343 A9C-LE (103) was ferried from Bahrain to Lourdes on 1/9 for storage.
JAL is to phase out all its B744s by the end of 1Q11 as part of a drive to reduce its fleet by 103 aircraft, which will also see it shedding all its A306s, MD81s & MD90s.
Kalitta Air. The two former Northwest Cargo B742Fs ferried from Marana, AZ to Oscoda/Wurtsmith, MO are now known to have been N623US (21705) on 25/8 & N624US (21706) on 31/8.
Kenya A/W B763 5Y-KQP (24797) left Nairobi on 27/8 bound for Roswell, NM on return to the lessor. 5Y-KYW (30586), formerly with Flyglobespan, was delivered from Shannon to Nairobi on 31/8. The carrier is reportedly contemplating cancelling its order for nine B787s due to continuing delivery delays. Options being considered include the acquisition of A330s or newer leased B767s.
Kuzu Cargo A313F TC-SGM (592) is now operating in full Saudi Arabian Cargo scheme.
Lufthansa A306 D-AIAL (405) was ferried from Dresden to Kiev Borispol on 2/9 for Mahan Air.
Lufthansa Cargo MD11F D-ALCP (48414) was ferried from storage at Victorville, CA to Xiamen on 3/9 prior to return to service.

Medallion Air MD83 YR-HBE (49396) was ferried from Marrakech to Bucharest on 31/8 at the end of its lease to RAM.
Meridian A/W has been added to the EU list of banned carriers following serious & persistent safety concerns. The airline operates DC-8-63F freighters, though only 9G-AXB (46097) is thought to be active, with 9G-AXA (46113), 9G-AXC (45999), 9G-AXD (45927) & 9G-AXE (46041) believed impounded at Ostend.
Mexicana ceased all operations on 28/8, though it is still hoped that an investor can be found & the carrier relaunched at a later date. Also see under Aeromexico.
MNG Cargo B734F TC-MNI (24128 ex D-AHLO, SP-KEN, TC-MNI, EC-JSS, N728CF) left Miami, FL on 28/8 still as N728CF on delivery to Istanbul. This is actually a restoration as the aircraft was with MNG as a passenger aircraft from late 2002 to April 2006 when it went to Spanair.

B752 fleet - disposals (thought to be to Allegiant Air) are to be G-BYAI (26967) on 10/11, G-BYAH (26966) on 11/1 & G-OOOZ (25593) also on 11/1. The two former Belair machines, G-OOBN (29379) & G-OOBP (30394), which have been at Manchester since May, will enter service next month.
